So hello again guys!
I was one of the few who though of getting the 86 in Oman. Things went back and forth then closed up to be settled with a Jetta. Until my "dream car" popped out in a showroom 2 turns away from home. So yep, not going to get the 86 or BRZ anytime soon. Being in Jordan, I wanted to show the GT86 scene in Jordan. First of all, a moment of silence for the sad expensive gas prices and import taxes (جمارك(. I bought my TT for the price of a new Kia Picanto in Jordan. The prices are double for each car, the more expensive the wider the price range. About a month ago, an awesome Jordanian (supercar?) website made a review of the new GT86: AmmaniV12 - The GT86. Then last week, I saw a White Pearl GT86 near a book shop. Couldn't take a picture with the horrible Jordanian traffic. But a Jordanian-Car Facebook page spotted it a few days later. Couldn't find the original spot, but this is from the guys own FB page: Then a few days later I spotted a black GT86 coming through the tunnel. And my god was it beautiful. Same headlights. PS: [Bkr A.] Owner of the Jordanian GT86, if you don't want the pictures here, just ask me and I'll remove it.

Car is too good to pass on ROJ. You have driven it, you know exactly what I speak of. It's been my daily driver for the past 6 months; although home > work > home only. Still, not a single day when I didn't feel like I was driving anything short of magnificent. Regardless of my resolution with having no options other than Toyota. It is true that the service charges are high. More than other countries 86 owners are paying, no doubt. Yet another truth prevails in my head; that buying this car was the best choice I made last year. Heck, I smile like a 5 year old with free reign in a toy store every time I drive my 86. Remember friends, to each his own. Your mileage may vary. Cheers

I've seen a Firestorm parked in a parking space in Hor Al Anz East flat which I always frequent. He might be a member of the forum.

I can only agree with you Imti..... I eagerly wait for my weekend to drvie my 86. This is because my office and home are one ........ every time I drive the car I get a big smile on my face and enjoys it.
It worth the money and come on guys, the top gear car of the year may demand a bit of attention (means money) More over when you buy a car with this good value for money, I am sure you have the intention already to spend some money on it. Either for tuning or the price of burning rubber |

Hey guys.. Things are a bit messy on the community lately... I am reluctant to hold any meets or drives for the mean time as I do 90% of the work on this community as I am busy as hell with career related struggles.
Regarding the drives.. I am not holding any for now as I need to organize matters professionally.. One thing that will be done is to provide those participating on the drive with a disclaimer paper to sign as somebody in a previous gathering power slid an 86 in a parking space and almost hit a parked van. If you guys are interested, we can stage a small gathering during this coming friday or saturday somewhere in Dubai. Perhaps meet all the new members there. |

How did you get your cars tinted? I was thinking of getting it done outside the agency but I think this would be difficult. Have you guys done it outside or direct with Al Futtaim?
I have inquired tint in V-Kool Mirdiff and the sales person does not even know about the 86, by that I'm hesitant as I read online that the windows moves when you open and close the door and the rear window needs to have the third brake light removed. Any experiences? Last edited by sh4d0w; 02-02-2013 at 12:07 PM. Reason: Auto correct issurs |

^ There is plenty of cars out there with windows that move when a door is opened or closed.. Its not unusual... The personally saw the first non-retail model of the 86 brought here by al futtaim.. It was a tinted using 3M at the time.. I think professional tinters can deal with it..
