Do they specifically want you to have a Falcon (for room??) or is that just 'part of the package'. There's always option of changing your car finance to novated lease anyway.

If not, follow these steps:
Step 1: Take Promotion
Step 2: Keep the BRZ
Step 3: Use their crappy car as a daily to keep your overhead costs down
Step 4: Use the extra $10k to pay off your BRZ
Step 5: Turn BRZ into awesome show or track car.
Step 6: Win at life.

Optional Step: Change the finance of your BRZ into one with a balloon payment. This will reduce your monthly costs significantly.

The GM wants all the cars to be the same and have advertising down the side..

I also believe he just doesn't like my car and wants to be difficult..

And i have a balloon payment.

correct! You will never ever going to get your money back on those if you leave them on the car. I would leave them in ONLY if I find it difficult to sell the car (more godies sometimes makes the car more attractive). However, is not the case of BRZ. It is as good as it gets so take the goodies off, sell them separate, make the extra cash.

I have a daily driver shitter and the 86 I bought the daily driver so I wouldnt drive the 86 all the time and rack up a heap of kms on it.....The weekend drives are special and are more enjoyable another plus is it doesnt matter if you are doing mods and the car is off the road for a few days/weeks at a time.

Advertising on your car would be more effective, more people look at it.

You should pay your "balloon" up front if you want to keep monthly payments down. A balloon payment is just a way to make your effective interest rate much higher then what they advise.

For example, take a $34,000, 5 year loan with $7,000 balloon at 10%. You end up paying $515 a month, and pay almost $13,000 in interest (33% of the value of the loan on top)

If you paid the balloon up front, meaning a $27,000 over 5 years at 10%, you pay $570 a month, but only $7400 in interest (just over half as much).

And that's why balloon payments are one of the biggest loan scams going around.

It all depends on what you're trying to achieve
A large balloon can be to your advantage
I organised a 5 year loan, with 40% balloon at 6% interest
I am far better off having tax deductable debt (Toyota 86) at a reasonable rate & paying my home loan of quicker
I could have just withdrawn money from my offset account and paid for the car outright but I am much better off having tax deductable debt than personal debt

You can claim depreciation and travel, which is based off the value of the car, not what you took a loan out on.
