Livermore Subaru just called me... they have a WRB Premium Automatic available with what sounds like the Pop1b package... chrome fender trim, rear bumper film. He said it is selling for roughly $30K not sure if there is some markup there or other accessories. I told him I was literally driving my BRZ as we spoke, but I would spread the word. Contact Sam at 510-779 - 7571 if you wanna check it out.

Well, subaru is making 2000 more BRZ's to meet the demands here in the US. I do hope they dont mass produce the FR-S and BRZ.

Still MSRP plus $?k in CA...more cars means more chance for them to mark up! I don't think this with change in the near future.

CA dealers are looking at any BRZ as an opportunity to price-gouge.

Anyone who's still looking for a car should go out of state to find cars at MSRP and see PMoks thread for how it's done...or ask one of the many folks who have bought their BRZ out of state, like me

I saw dark gray and WRB BRZs at Putnam Subaru on Friday and a red FR-S across the street at Putnam Scion. I imagine they gotta be marked up to just be sitting on display like that though.

when I was picking my SWP BRZ at Carlsen Subaru, noticed they had a blue BRZ limited manual I believe with a $3K mark-up.

Yup arrived on the 3rd, had $500 down in Marin with the condition of no options was told I was #1 for the black one that would meet my specs. Got the call it was coming in on the 12th, and they wanted $26,500, immediately asked for my deposit back, either going out of state or none at all. Good luck, I don't think they have a buyer for the black one.

There are 49 more states out there with cars...ok, not Hawaii, so 48.

Complain to SOA. I filed a complaint and they sent me another car to a different dealer at MSRP.

How'd you manage that? Both sides have been feeding me similar bull;Scion says they no longer own the car once it hits port and the dealers add the options on as they see fit and it's out of their hands because once the car hits port it is the dealer's property.

The dealers say that they are "factory installed options" (direct contradiction to Scion corporate who claims that there is nothing added to the car from the factory, all options are added by dealer) and as such the dealers "hands are tied" when it comes to car configuration. If you press them they will relent that they are lying and they do determine the options but still won't give you what you want.

All Scion has done is put me through to a dealer customer service rep who jumped up and down to help me until they get shot down by the sales manager who knows they can keep inflating their profits with wheel locks and "rear bumper appliques". Sorry for the rant, I've pretty much given up on buying one (I'm crotchety and picky and won't put up with liars ) but my father is still fielding salesmen.

Steven's Creek has an Ultramarine one, call quick before they put leather in it!

Livermore Subaru has 2 coming in on 12/17. 1 is spoken for, the other is WRB Limited MT. 1500 markup on it b/c person who ordered it backed off. I couldn't even waive the 1500 if I had put my name on it. Total ~33K. He said to come or call between 12/15 - 12/19.

Pls don't tell them I picked up an FRS at Dublin Toyota/Scion. 3 week wait. Talk to AJ! He held my FRS for 2 days (Sat and picked up Sunday night). It was a matter of time of who was going to call me first, Dublin Toyota did - no hassle and straight forward. Talk to AJ! I visited both dealers 3 weeks prior.

I'm happy and saved a few bucks . Now my wife says it needs a spoiler, I asked her which she likes...
