Monmouth County NJ Pulley Installation

Does anybody know a place in Monmouth County that can install a lightweight pulley and about how much they would charge? I dont have the tools to do it myself and the dealership wanted $200 which seems kinda crazy. Thanks

We aren't in Monmouth but pretty close. Should take about 1 hr of labor so you are looking at about $85. Shoot us an email.

Have you looked into tackling this yourself at all? It truly is extremely simple. Shouldn't take more than half an hour with the right tools. A pro with the better "right tools" within reach could probably knock this out in 10 minutes if they cared to.

I don't know what you have access to or what your abilities are but I'll recommend that you never ask the dealership to install aftermarket parts for you. They'll never quote you a sane price if they'll even do it at all.

Don't need a garage - could do it on the side of the road if you really wanted to. If you have absolutely no tools at all, you're looking for the pulley tool (45 bucks), a breakar bar (figure around 20), flathead/phillips screwdrivers (c'mon you have to have these at least), socket wrench, 10mm socket, 14mm socket, 22m socket (could probably get all of these in a set, which you should consider investing in anyway - anywhere from 40 on up depending on quality and quantity),torque wrench (figure around 45).

Aside from the pulley tool (and possibly the breaker bar), you should really consider getting a good socket wrench set and a torque wrench if you ever plan on doing anything yourself with your car.

Shore Motorsports does good work and they're in your neck of the woods. I had them install my clutch and flywheel in my turbo Miata when I lived in Freehold and they did good work, completed the job quickly and charged a fair price.
