when you start for the first time the engine after a reset, vvt is going to activate 99,9999% of times as you leave the car idling and waiting.. just that
If you reset and car is medium hot , you could waste time trying to activate vvt

i've seen some car improve vvt precision swapping them new

With engine stone cold, disconnect battery, clean ocvs, reconnect battery and press 4 times throttle pedal slowly til floored and then release is slowly, with ignition on (2 times start button without clutch)

then crank engine on and leave it idling more than 5 minutes

Clean air filter and maf sensor possibly, it s not very normal for the engine to shut down randomly at crossroads
When you say change at least 2 of them you mean on one passenger side for the p0016 or the bottom ones?

I gatta be honest, I don't understand what you mean by this. This pedal dance you explain "press gas 4 times" what is this for?

I see, thank you. If I mess up the procedure, Would it calibrate by it self eventually?
Also if I replace only 2 ECVs to save money, I'm replacing the 2 on one side that I have the code right? in my case the passenger side with p0016

either you change all 4 and delete the dilemma about them, or you take 1 or 2 and then you move them as they are the same in all 4 positions and you look for changes in error codes, i'd like to think some of them work good
Eitherless some people change them all, they aren't so expensive and also it's not a bad move to do

yes the pedal will calibrate eventually, it is just to reduce the wonky response it has initially after a reset/flash

Add another one to the bucket.

OCVs changed, oil change, reflash ecutek. Code persists. I'm going to try some ecutek finessing next.

There is nothing in ecutek that will help. You either need a cam gear or the IPV values reset.

Car drives fine when the code is cleared, limp mode when the code comes back every second driving cycle.

Last one was 3 months ago, but I already had the code. I was bad and went 5k without oil change before that.

I have heard that an autel 906bt and up or launch x431 can put ECU in test mode and get the IPV’s to reset.

So, I replaced all 4 OCVs , reset code, it came back within an hour of driving around. The idle At supper low rpm takes a second to adjust. so it still shuts off on me at times, like 2% of the time when dropping into neutral or quickly clutching in.

Thinking what to do next.
also with the code showing I cannot shut off traction control.
