Just picked up a second bike Friday... extremely new bike that is making a lot of waves (and a bit of controversy) and I spent a month researching before fully convinced to go with it. Would probably have picked it up instead of the KLX300R if it was an option over a year ago. Has about twice the power of the KLX300R (both HP & torque, but more mid-range and up) while only about 45lbs heavier at same fuel level - yet can hold ~4x as much fuel with a 300+ mile range.
From just a short test ride at low speed around the property last night the handling feels quicker and yet more stable than the KLX300R while feeling higher off the ground, and that's with a near full fuel level. Build quality seems better than the KLX300R and it's designed to cover desert type terrain at nice high cruise speed with a very decent stock suspension. Also currently running in the '24 Dakar. Any guesses...? Will take a picture of it tomorrow.

Here's the new bike:
2024 KOVE 450 Rally, have a few upgrades just ordered this weekend to make it how I want (Cycra Pro-Bend Ultra handguard setup, ODI grips, GPR V5 hydraulic steering stabilizer kit, Motion Pro micro front shock air bleeders, rear caliper guard, and factory rear luggage rack mount). Down the line might upgrade the mirrors to Rottweiler/Arrow setup and get one of the rally towers available for it and the Trail Tech Voyager PRO GPS nav system. Will be taking all the decals off to run it in white...definitely looks nicer in all white: And the stock exhaust note is dang near perfection....absolutely zero wants to change it at all.

With a few mods (handguards, ODI grips, and Motion Pro front fork micro air bleeders) and all but a few decals removed... think I like how it looks this way more than I would if all decals were fully removed:

Last year I had a frozen up back brake on my SV650. I rebuilt the caliper and master & got everything back together in the fall, but getting it bled out correctly gave me a fit.
The rain started up and it got cold, so the bike has been sitting ever since. This week the sun has finally been out for more than a few minutes and got me off my thumbs. Bled out more bubbles than I want to see ever again, but now I have a solid rear brake that works as it should. Went for a ride around the rock this afternoon and had a most pleasant experience back in the saddle again. Happy puppy.
