Good to know. Yeah my 1521s don't make any noise until a few harder stops seem to get some heat into them. Any noise recently was quite tolerable. I won't mind if it stays that way but it's hard to trust it haha

Have you swapped back and forth between the 1521 and BP20 much? For track days etc? Any process you have to that?

Thanks a lot

No track days or swapping. I'm on the 1521s all the time. I think if I was going to swap pads then I would just suck it up and buy a set of rotors with the pads to change both out instead of mixing materials and trying to bed the pads all the time. That might be overkill for a few days a year, but for a half dozen or more, it might be better to maximize performance and minimize noise on the daily setup.

I actually ordered a set of dedicated plain rotors today. Cheap peace of mind. I pulled the rotors last night to paint the unswept portion of the front discs and decided to sand all the pads and rotors because it was pretty clear stuff was glazed. It'll be worth not having to make that mess every time I go to the track, even if it is only 1-2 times per year.

Got a 981 Cayman S PDK. First time getting something that wasn't a manual.

It is slow compared to the BRZ because it is down by 150-175hp, but it is far more composed and has better traction, even compared to a stock BRZ. Obviously, the quality of materials and build is much better. PDK will take some getting use to, but it is probably the best auto out there, so I will get use to it. It has an extra gear over the manual, so that is another reason to get the PDK so the gearing isn't so long.

Unfortunately no.

Issue number 1: I have a garage, but it is detached, and our building doesn't allow charging (only plug is in the ceiling for the garage door, and I'm running a line down the side of the wall so I can use tools). Supercharging is fine and doable, but we run into issue number 2...

Issue number 2: The only EV sports car on the market is a Tesla Roadster. I'm not into sports sedans or hot hatches, so until the EV Miata, EV MR2, EV Cayman becomes available and affordable, I'm not in the market for an EV, but once we get a place where I can charge at home and when an EV sports car gets on the market with a LFP battery then I will be an early adopter.

$41k OTD, including taxes, reg, etc., so like $37k'ish.

Pretty decent deal. 85k miles and some cosmic issues that I'll address, but overall, I'm satisfied.

I know who bought the car.

He's parting out the interior bits so I need to look over the build to figure out what was in it and what I can get out of it

Best interior bits are the OEM Audio Plus sound system, Kenwood headunit, Kenwood dash cam. The rest are minor things, factory armrest, shift knob, etc.
