Back from California. Car kept cutting out on acceleration. Betting its my Omni 4bar MAP.
Symptoms seem in line. I guess Omni had a bunch that would crap out. Ordered a new one from Jackson. That and an extra belt. Nothing like having your car cut out while in the middle of passing a couple big rigs.

Welp, I hope you get it sorted out.

Reminds me of back in the day, while driving my 1948 Chevrolet. The windshield wipers were vacuum powered. So, when it was raining hard and I was putting the pedal to the metal to pass a truck, the windshield wipers would stop, because the engine was hogging all the vacuum, leaving none for the wiper motors. -

So, along mid pass, I would have to let up on the gas to allow the wipers to swipe so I could see where I was going.

Yep, it was uphill both ways while passing -

it's making the rounds:

but this is perhaps the best line:

According to the trusted Japanese site Bestcarweb
https://www.topspeed.com/2025-toyota...e-know-so-far/

so after spending millions on federalizing and creating the 2nd gen in 2023, they're going to abandon everything and create a new generation by 2025. this 86 is going to randomly be getting entirely revamped and redeveloped. it will suddenly use toyota's turbo 3 cylinder with hybrid system, and change to the lexus IS platform...

lol. Again? I guess it's one of those things, if you say it enough you can convince yourself it is true.

We should make a fake Japanese car website and generate rumors like this with ChatGPT, google translate to Japanese, and then put ads everywhere.

Cha-ching!
