Wll no, but that was my point. I can also see there could be solution no one has thought of yet.

I’m not talking about the specifics. I’m talking fundamental physics/chemistry. Where is the energy coming from that would process this reaction because it would have to be from something that could generate hydrogen while not being a usable form of energy like electricity?

The only example I have seen is using bacteria. Sometimes their requires small amounts of energy or chemical reagents. The idea of using bacteria isn’t new. The problem is rate of production, purity of the product, consistency, and scale. The cost is a secondary factor along with the efficiency of the process along the supply line from generation to capture to transport and delivery.

True. I just see more competition as a good thing for consumers who now have one less choice.

lordstown always struck me as weird. repurposing old GM truck bodies.

they fit in the space where they were doing things technically feasible, but there was nothing new/different about them

A lot of these small startups seem like they are trying to come up with an innovation that will bring a big fish in to buy them.

Wait, maybe this isn't an accidental drop, maybe it's inflight refueling! Works like this:
  • Battery pack is charged and magnetized by refueler.
  • You call for service using GPS.
  • Lead truck catches up and gets in front of you (or airdrop) and drops battery in front of you.
  • You drop your battery pack.
  • You use momentum to drive over new battery back which is pulled to bottom of vehicle.
  • Trailing truck picks up your old battery pack.
