Now I have even more questions. Why is FLKC going positive under high load here? Is this real?

yes
it is because his advance is lower than 1, and the engine is not knocking there so it slowly tries to climb back to 1, while adding positive flkc gradually curious to see a full. throttle pull Last edited by tomm.brz; 04-10-2023 at 11:27 PM. |

When you say do a "2k to redline in 3rd at WOT" pull do you mean literally let 3rd run into the rev limiter before then shifting into 4th?

yes at 2000 or around it floor the accell and reach redline
similar to a pull in the dyno |

https://datazap.me/u/nfsundrgrnd/2k-...2?log=0&data=1 Car feels faster now as well. Also why is the ignition advance dropping as the RPM's are climbing towards redline? |

That is a question that should be made to an engineer that worked with Subaru in the fa20 to answer properly
For us normal human beings, you just have to know this is not a wrx, we have double injection and a very dynamic DI injection angle and the engine has its own flow that gives a particular ignition timing curve When rpm start to rise past 5000, flame speed and burn rate start to change in a way (faster basically) that the engine requires less timing otherwise it knocks... for example PI injection is used more at high rpm also in stock rom, and more PI usually means faster combustion = less timing required usually max tining is around 5200-5600rpm, then slowly dropping till redline with a suoercharger the timing will go even lower of course with e85 instead, you can rise up timing a lot so that you can almost flat out the timing from midrpm to redline Anyway log is not bad, i ll make you just a quick adjustment more and then you re good to go Car going faster might be a placebo, or because of higher advabce multiplier now, it has a bit more torque overall, but "peak" power should not be higher and somewhat the same as before, i m not rising timing i m actually lowering them in your tune Keep in mind i m not really retuning you, i m just adjusting the ots tune quickly because of knocks When i tune i use a completely different base Last edited by tomm.brz; 04-12-2023 at 10:05 PM. |
