a bypass valve is a blow off valve, when recirculated it s usually called bypass valve.. i think the website means quieter than a atmosphere vented bov, since it puts enfasis that it s recirculated

Mine is set properly, the spring was swapped to a softer one as advised by the manufacture. The design is just quieter. I can make it louder by running 50/50 recirculating, but it get obnoxious. |

Is the BPV or SC actually emitting a high pitch squeal or whistle like a slipping belt? That may not be normal. Come to think of it, have you checked the belt? If you have a sound clip we can try to help diagnose what you're hearing, but its hard to say otherwise as everyone's perceptions and expectations are different.
I've used both the original plastic BPV and the newer aluminum one, and they sound about the same volume wise. Nothing has ever squealed, but the SC has a distinct mechanical whirring sound at idle. At mid-high rpm at partial or no throttle the BPV makes all sorts of shooshy wooshing sounds because the SC is forcing lots of air through the bypass circuit, but nothing whistles or squeals (except a faint high pitch zing at exactly 3100 rpm from something harmonic). If its the sound of air moving or the SC itself that's annoying, I can't imagine a different BPV changing the sound a lot (unless it's actually whistling or doing something harmonic). The SC and bypass circuit is really short, just inches, and its only a few inches from the air filter so you're gonna hear everything going through there. If you had a longer inlet tube (imagine a traditional CAI that puts the air filter behind the bumper or in a wheel well), that would likely make it quieter by placing the air filter farther away. Wrapping the inlet tubing might help dampen it a bit, but with the air filter so close I don't know how much that would even help. |

RON is an octane rating, it stands for Research Octane Number. MON is also an octane rating, it stands for Motor Octane Number. OCT is just short for "octane." RON and MON test methods are different, and extremely specific in how the tests are performed. European countries and others around the world (including Turkey) use only the RON rating and call it "octane." America uses RON+MON and call it "AKI" for Anti Knock Index, but many people also just call it "octane." The numbers scale differently, but generally a RON only octane rating will have a higher number than a RON+MON (AKI) rating in the US. So, 95 RON octane rating in Europe is NOT the same as 95 AKI octane rating in the US. For instance, 91 RON is low in Europe, and its roughly equivalent to 87 AKI in the US which is also considered low. 95 RON is equivalent to 91 AKI in the US. This is what California has to use for whatever reason, but also in Colorado 91 is considered premium because of our altitude (less air = less oxygen, so 91 at altitude is the same as 93 at sea level). 97-98 RON is equivalent to 93-94 AKI in the US. That's about as high as you can find at the pump station. This is typically what is required for high performance engines, and is typically the minimum that tuners rely on for consistency. If you live at high enough altitude, (where there is less oxygen) 91 AKI (95 RON) is sufficient for good tuning. 94 AKI and up in the US is rare, and typically only used by race shops, tracks, and specialty gas stations. Special race fuels can of course go even higher. |

yes, good info
anyway even if in theory 98 ron should match 93 aki, in practice Europe fuel is shittier and with identical configuration, 93 aki is more resistant even compared to our euro 100 Ron ( 100 ron is more diffused than 98 ron). Any car i tuned with 93 Aki, it handles leaner afr and higher timing than those here with 100 ron |

Is it on stock engine? I mean internals. If yes aren’t you afraid to blow it up? Seems to be pretty high numbers.

I'm curious why you swapped out the fuel pump. From what I've found the stock pump should support up to 450whp. Not trying to say you're wrong just trying to follow your logic. Also, have you done anything to strengthen your trans? You're knocking on that 300wtq number that seems to explode 4th.
