If you can get everything you need in the roof box, should be fine. Those always resell really easy too.

That's what I was hoping. I just can't find much on them. I'll get on the googles but was curious if anyone could give feedback.

Roofline is too short for clamp on racks and anything that would be a leveraged load (kayak for me, or a roof box)... If you do the ones that go through the seams it may be ok. I've been mulling a small trailer I can use for tires or bikes or kayaks or lumber... Would easily take a roof box too.

The biggest issue I see @weederr33 is if you don't use a roof box and can't get everything in the car. You are going to end up renting a U-Haul van and car trailer. U-Haul is an absolute stickler about weights, so if you bought a hitch for the car, they likely wouldn't rent you a trailer for it.

I have a small computer desk, a tiny 6-drawer ikea "dresser", a twin mattress and frame, a small box for random shit, and a few dishes. Not including clothes, computer, and other daily needs. It's not as Spartan as it gets but it's also pretty minimalist.

so are you moving the computer desk and dresser? given the mattress/frame stays, without the furniture, sounds feasible without a roof rack.
lol, "live like a monk" another quick alternative, i've got those bike bars that thread into the rear tow points, i could send those out to you, just need to strap one of those cargo racks to it. i've stood and jumped on those bars, they don't move. those cargo racks are always being bought/sold on marketplace and flea markets for $50-200 don't know what shipping would be, and i'd want them back, but i don't use them very often that i could live without them for a little while.

Gentlemen, it is with great pleasure to announce that I’ll be purchasing an RCE suspension, finally. Just trying to workout which one is the best option for me.
Update: After an absolutely great conversation, it was decided to not get either. Instead, it was, aesthetically wise, suggested to get lowering springs. RCE Yellows. It is way more important to work on driver mod before getting into other territories. I couldn't be any more happier with that. Last edited by spcmafia; 01-14-2023 at 02:04 PM. |
