no anti-seize for me
but it's probably not a bad idea given the heads are aluminum, and the plugs are steel

Doesn't hurt anything. I give them a light rub with the thread chaser and some wd40.

I was always taught to antiseize dissimilar metals, but I remember one day going "wait a second." "Daaaaaad, every fastener on this engine is steel and it is all aluminum. Why don't we antiseize every fastener?" I don't remember the resolution of that conversation.

If my spark plugs seize to the head at 120k miles 10 years from now, I think it will be time for a propulsion unit swap, whatever that may look like in 2033.

Looking back through the years I have probably dealt with maybe a dozen fasteners/spark plugs that stripped threads due to not having anti-seize. I run into way more issues with galled threads on lower grade stainless fasteners, and we use a ton of them at work

My go to list is basically the same on every bike. First is the cheap things and comfort bits. Tail tidy, wind screen, tank grips, mirrors levers and rear sets, grame sliders. The second round brings the basic 3 pack: exhaust, intake, and tune. After that are usually bike specifics and more involved projects. The problem I now have is all the next bikes I want are all really well sorted and setup from the factory. The last gen 50th anny M1000rr is very high up the list. And really other than a titanium exhaust its prety much done when it rolls off the showroom floor. All well above my skill level and what backyard wrenching I'd do.

Cheap stainless is the worst! You've done hard time working on other people's neglected, abused stuff. I'll always defer to experience.
