Totally agree, and the touchpad to the side of the driver isn't much help either.. My car also has steering controls, again a distraction...

We have a DONSA the 23rd so that's when I strategically put mine in. Then I don't need to come back till the 2nd.

I've just been taking mine. Had 8 days left, then we (the whole company) were suddenly"gifted" the last week of the year off. So I'm done working for the year next Tuesday. That feeling that it's a bad time never goes away, and you always have a stupid scramble when you return. Just how it is. Take it.

I'm kinda enjoying the electric mode but the range is circa 40miles which is not long enough..
Of course it is a long name. You are talking about a language that says car insurance as "kraftfahrzeug haftpflichtversicherung".

So, the "backstop" would automatically stop the car before I would back into something?

If so - NEAT!

Today I learned furnaces have fan shaft bearings that fail commonly from radial load.
Got woken up in the middle of the night by an outrageous roaring. I thought someone broke into my house and started my FRS in the garage and left the door open. 13 degrees out today. No heat until at least Monday, if someone happens to have this model combustion air inducer.

I wish! Honestly I'd drive several hours to get one. Nothing but time on my hands right now. Thank you for the thought

this popped up in my youtube feed. i've been hearing more about these diesel heaters lately, his video is more analytical, though he admits he got the 8kw rating wrong... at the very end, he figures out that it costs about 14pence to run, while electricity in his area is about 40pence per kilowatt hour... it'd take more math than i care to do to convert it to freedom units, but i figure it can't be that far off either, even with the higher cost of diesel...

between your post, and that diesel heater video, it's got me thinking about getting one as a furnace backup/power outage, and even setting one up in the garage instead of using a space heater when i'm out there. in the case of a furnace issue or power outage, i'll easily sacrifice a car battery out of either of my vehicles if it means staying warm... i doubt it'd heat the entire house, but even if it kept it above freezing...

even if it costs the same as electric in the US, it'd still be a great backup option...

this one even has a bluetooth app, still only $170...
