If you didn’t notice, those are all the same movie.
My DIL is a hallmark movie junky. I never see my grandkids between Thanksgiving and Xmas.

I won a raffle prize at the company Christmas party. I guess I'll be getting that transmission jack after all.

Of course, she did point out to me that it isn't much different than some of the car shows I watch. They start the build, things go horribly wrong, then they manage to pull it all together in time for the reveal. Pretty much a Hallmark movie with grease and less attractive people.

Fair enough. I never really liked the classic "build" shows myself. I did enjoy Wheeler Dealers though.

I think they may have started out as a legit shop but now just rush through each project for content since the show has been on so long. That and so much time is spent in front of the camera for the fake drama (I watched them reshoot a big "surprise" moment about 5 times since the guy didn't look shocked enough at the news he just received) they don't do much real work.

FantomWorks was the other I watched but it seemed a little more legit, even if it did tend to use its share of "over the top" moments. Now, when I need a gearhead fix I primarily watch Chasing Classic Cars, and the occasional Wheeler Dealer.
