SOLD
For sale is my turn-key, 6-speed, overbuilt HPDE 2013 Scion FRS. I have owned this car since new and it has been a truly amazing experience.
First and foremost the car was in a slight brush with a NJMP wall in late 2018. I have pictures of the damage. It was all cosmetic, properly repaired and the body was wrapped. Check out the post HERE The car saw 1 month of winter when I first bought it in 2013 and never saw salt again. It currently has just under 50k miles on it. It was retired from street driving in 2019 with 45k. It has the original engine and has not received the valve spring recall by choice. I have all of the updated recall components but I highly recommend against having a Toyota dealership do the work. Other than the typical coil pack issues the engine has been flawless. There is a lot of time and custom work into this car. Custom rad shroud / oil cooler mount. Custom chassis mounted 9lives wing. Custom valved prototype YCW reference series coilovers, custom quick disconnect high aero package splitter, custom removable side window glass, custom low aero package splitter …the list goes on. Can you make it a street car again? This car is gutted, with a roll bar, no air bags, no cat, gutted headlights, blocked off front turn signals, removable side windows (no motors) and no 3rd brake light. With enough money anything is possible but this car was built with intent to never go back. However, the only wires I cut were the seat belt lock/ airbag wires by accident so it is doable. I have the front portion of the interior and passenger side stock seat that go with the car. I haven’t gone through that stuff in a while but there is a lot there. The car has done all of these times on 200 tw street tires. Included are my racer excuses. 2:14.1 at Watkins (this was actually a great lap) 1:12.4 at Pineview (street tire record holder), 1:11.6 (on chorded Hoosier R7s) 1:16.1 at NJMP Lightning 1:33.9 at NJMP Thunderbolt (there is a lot left here) 1:04.3 at Limerock (this is a sub-1 minute car. I haven’t been to Limerock in the dry since 2015) 2:01.1 at Pittrace (on 1 year old maxxis rc1s, sub-two minute car easy) 1:38.1 at NYST (more here on a clear track, lap timer predicted high 1:36) 1:46.9 at Palmer (I lack the courage to commit to a 10/10s lap) Major modifications include: Exterior - Verus Hood Louvers - Custom Verus based front splitter w/ professional awesome diffusers - Verus Rear Diffuser w/ diff covers - 9lives custom chassis mounted wing Interior - Gutted - Autopower race roll bar - Oreca Start FG Edition Racing Seat - I am 5’9” 145lbs and it is a perfect fit. - Schroth Flexi Profi II 6 point Harness Wheels and Tires - Enkei RPF1 - 17x9 +35 with 255/40/17 tires Engine/Exhaust - Openflash Tablet - Stage 2 - E85 (can change to 93 tune easily) - Openflash Header - Invidia Catless Resonated Front pipe - Invidia Q300 Catback - (2020) I removed the muffler and added a turndown after the rear axle - Maximal Performance Oil Cooler Kit Suspension - Custom valved YCW Suspension Reference Series Coilovers - Whiteline Adjustable Sway bar links - Whiteline Roll centre/bump steer correction kit - Whiteline Front Control arm lower inner rear bushing - Whiteline Front Control arm lower inner front bushing - Megan Racing toe links - SPC Adjustable Rear LCAs Brakes - RR Racing Stage II Willwood Front BBK - RR Racing Sport Willwood Rear BBK - DTC60 pads and cheap rotors Drivetrain - IRP Short Shifter V3 - TIC Steering rack bushings - MTEC Shift Spring Kit - Whiteline subframe bushings - Whiteline differential support outrigger insert - Whiteline Transmission mount bushing insert 2625 lbs with a full tank and me (145lbs) in it. (2022) Just replaced the spark plugs and updated the coil packs to the 2015+ design. There are a ton of other small things not worth mentioning. To follow the history of this car check out by build thread here: https://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=70247 What you need to hit the track: Wheels are a little beat up. I have had them since 2014 and they are aged out. Up to you if you want to use them, but I wouldn’t. Tires. Currently on the car is a set of VERY used and blistered Advan A052s from the 2020 season. In their current state the fact that they hold air is impressive. Some fresh E85. That is it. I said turn key and I mean it. Why am I selling? I had a kid in 2021 and dont have the time or desire to constantly be working on a race car. I would like to consolidate my track efforts and move to a streetable car that I can enjoy on track with a quick change of wheels/tires. Would also consider selling my open car trailer with the car for the right price. Asking 15k without the trailer.

LOTS OF INTEREST but no serious buyers coming from it. Asking 15k without the trailer. I will give this thread one bump then just let it die. Who knows, I might just drive it through the 2023 season.

Those are some serious lap times. Respect.
I'm guessing the 200tw tires are to stay in class? Because that seems like an awful lot of aero, but no hoosiers. Who were you running with? Good luck with the sale, and hope you find a streetable replacement soon. |

Thanks. All of those lap times were on some brand of 200tw tire. The car is just setup for track days at the moment. Not for a specific class. Although it can very easily be made into a nasa tt5 car. I never went with Hoosiers bc I wanted a tire that would be OK if it rained as well.
