Nice, but does it drone at highway speeds? That is the question.

I would imagine that's what the Helmholtz resonator is for.

It's 3" piping, so I would assume that it does have some drone.

That doesn't always help. It basically shifts drone from one rpm range to another. I think the V1 of this exhaust also had a Helmholtz resonator but reports were that it droned like crazy. I was just hoping that the change to this style muffler from the canister style would help a little.

Yeah, I really wish that HKS would make these designs in 2.5" instead of 3". Would be a lot more tempting! In fact I would've already ordered the V1 if it was 2.5".

Cat backs are the same. Only the axleback is different for 17+

I'm quite happy with the V2 system with stock headers. Drone is not a problem IMO. Did a little research and found that the V1 weighs 25.6 lbs while the V2 weighs 28.4 lbs. That compares to 39.7 lbs for the stock system.

Sorry for the revival but I’m suppose to pick up a v2 tomorrow and I didn’t realize the seller stated 2017+ but I have a 2014.

Can anyone confirm that it is/isn’t compatible with my 2014.
Please and thank you.

Are you running a stock or aftermarket front pipe?
