No, there should be no air in the cooling system.
COOLANT expands until the rad cap pressure is reached, at which point excess coolant beyond that pressure escapes to the COOLANT OVERFLOW TANK. As the engine cools down and the coolant contracts, the coolant that escaped during the expansion phase is sucked back into the engine. The only cooling system with air in it is a DEGAS system that has a pressurised tank at the highest point and an air volume at the top of the system. These systems have no overflow tank as the coolant has room to expand into the air volume. Bubbles out of the overflow pipe is not normal. Now unfortunately, I think no matter how many times we say "Do like the manual says" and "bleed it more", I think the level of help that can be given over an internet forum is the proverbial dead horse, and beating it we did. When a car starts to be reluctant, it's asking for some hands on. |

...eventually. I don't know if you were correcting me. If so, then perhaps I wasn't clear.

Reminds me of a story of when I was doing agricultural field research work. It was a hot day (108 degrees F) down in Yuma Arizona and me, and my co researcher were about to spray some experimental pesticides in a cotton field. The problem was that I couldn't get my research spray rig to hold a steady pressure coming out of the hypro pump. This old toothless, Mexican farm hand came by and said the problem was that the system was "sucking air". Me and my fellow college educated co worker looked at each other and thought "what the hell does that SOB know about it. Hell, I built the fucking system! Come to find out, the ol boy was right! A defective fitting on the underside of the unit had a crack in it - allowing the system to "suck air". Also, that's when I learned that you don't lay a black crescent wrench out in the bright sun on a 108 degree day in Yuma, AZ and reach out and grab ahold of it with your bare hand - Yes, I know I've told this story before, but I'm getting low on stories that I have made up - THE END PS - to the OP, oh just quit worrying about it, Bubba says a few bubbles ain't gonna hurt nutten - |

so not sure if this will help but maybe it has nothing to do with coolant maybe his ac drain hole is plugged up and when he runs the ac or defrost it get trap inside of the havc housing therefore when starting up blower motor turns on i work on cars for a living and have found this to be the problem for alot of cars if you have heat and car is not over heating wouldnt worry about the bubbles it will bleed out in time just keep a eye on the coolant tank add when you need to
