It's not a huge difference from the original, the extra power and different torque curve from the 2.4L is what interests me. I do believe that it's more fun to drive slow cars fast. I could rev up the 86 all the way on surface streets but I felt it needed more torque to have a smoother acceleration feel. The handling is one of the best I've ever laid hands on other than my 992 TTS, the F82 feels boat-like in comparison but the F82 is the best dual purpose car I own. If I drove my current cars on how I drove my 86, I'd probably lost my license a few hundred times by now.

Seemingly blackhole like amounts of storage. GF approval rating is high, especially when in comfort mode. Can do the ikea run and grocery run in same outing, maybe even stick in some home depot.

It is pretty nice. It doesn't have me wondering about other cars all that much, besides like the mega stuff that you have to have some deep pockets for.
I do though want something I can beat up a little harder on track. I feel some restraint in my driving, perhaps another Odyssey is in order.

I can respect that. It definitely seems like the Toyota dealerships were the cause of a lot of the issues, and that the Subaru's faired better since their techs were used to the motors. As someone who works around dealerships a lot, I've had many service managers mention that they had to train a specific tech to just work on the FRS then and now the Supra as well since both engine architectures are barely even related to Toyota. As long as they have a tech which is trained in it (hopefully they learned their lesson) then I don't foresee any issues.

Im sure you can kick out any sub 100 posters I see it clearly now though. All of the people without 86's but are still here is because this is the only place you can admit that the 86 was the superior vehicle without getting flamed

This. This is why I'm content with my FRS. I'd be in jail or in a ditch if I had anything with speed and more torque. Alright, I'm done derailing this thread now.

Those with issues are also a very small, vocal minority of persons that have the valve work done at their Toyota dealership. There were BRZs that had similar failures.
