Haha! Kind of. The tire width is actually smaller, but the profile is fatter, and they're R888R's. Oh, and new wheels. And front and rear bumpers. And sideskirts. And hood. And wing. And suspension. I could go on.

edit - If you're getting new everything, mind snapping me a pic or two of where you cut the sideskirts and how they turned out! Last edited by jkr; 02-02-2018 at 02:54 PM. Reason: more info |

Planning on getting RB V1 with 18x10 0 offset 255 - 275 tire range (square setup) with spacers for the rears and a good set of coilovers but I have a few concerns. I would rather not have any poke up front and I plan on daily driving/ tracking my car so I want to stay as functional as possible with my ride height and alignment as well to prevent any uneven wear. But since I must eliminate a fair amount of wheel gap I might get air cups to clear obstacles if ride height ends up being to low to eliminate reasonable amount of wheel gap. Was thinking maybe a bit lower than mnsayer (Pg 6) but he didn't give any offset or ride height info and hasn't replied my PM.
What would be a "functional" drop compared to stock height be? Could I be having some poke in the front since I don't plan on dropping my car as much? |

In the rear, I'm exactly at the same specs you have - 18x10.5 -28. I run a slight stretch on my R888R's, with 265/35 in the rear. Fronts are 18x9.5 -16, but with 235/40, but that also required me to run ~4 degrees of camber.

Hey!
Currently in the process of sorting my RBv1 kit... What’re the major rubbing points on the front? I’m having a tubed and tubbed front end on my car in September so any rubbing points can be adjusted/ moved.. Asking as I’m wanting to runnthe biggest square set-up possible! Loving how your specs and car look @sqd |

I'm reviving this thread from the dead because frankly, all of this stuff is too confusing to me.
I was thinking Volk TE37s w/ 18x10 285/35 in the fronts and running 18x11s 305/35 in the rears (most likely needing small spacers). Wheel-it-fit appears to show both clearing the suspension by .1" What I can't seem to glean from the calculators and multiple tire/wheel fitment threads is what a good staggered setup is for wheels on a RB V1 in terms of not completely screwing up driving feel. I'm not talking about emulating the stock squared up feeling, I'm just saying I've been in some staggered setups like on a 350z, for example, that just felt 'wrong' even though suspension was dialed in - the wheel spec differences between front and rear just felt off. Is there a size/width right ratio from front to rear to keep steering and drivability in tact? Looking for help with this topic and I'm drowning in threads that have good individual points about various suspension variables, but nothing that seems to address the overall solution I'm trying to achieve - an extremely wide tire in the rear w/ a staggered setup so that when I swap my engine out next year I won't just spin everywhere. |

Scroll through the last few pages of this thread... https://www.ft86club.com/forums/show...=74391&page=29 . I don't have a wide body. Or a ton of power, but my experience with 4 different staggered setups is that the car drive better the closer to square the tires are. I am now square again.

Looks like he was running 335s..trying to see why he sold, if he in fact sold it.
NOTE: I made a typo in saying '305', meant to say 315/35 setup for the rears. |

Correct me if I'm wrong but if I wanted to run this exact setup with the exception of 18x11's in the rear I'd need a -13 offset?
