Built FA20s are somewhat hit or miss as it is. Personally 340ft lbs would be the max I would even consider pushing on a built FA20 that's about 100-120ft lbs more than stock block can typically handle with decent reliability. The SPS 335 + FBO + E85 and add in WMI to manage heat, Should be able to get you pretty close to the reliable limits of a built block. 320ft lbs / 400whp should be doable. On this platform that is a handful and you wont be getting much traction beyond that anyways without some serious other modifications. If you absolutely must run NOS for whatever reason a 20 shot max would be all even then I dont think its worth the risk. What is your fixation on the 335 + NOS? if the 335 doesn't get you the power you want get a turbo setup, do an engine swap, or get a different car. |

Hey FT86club, this is my first time posting to a forum, but happy to be here. I love this chassis, and have been lurking for a while. I dove in with the 335 install, but having some problems.
Could anyone that's installed a 335 unit share how they torqued the main screw in front to hold the supercharger down? It looks like it fits my torque wrench's drive, but the unit itself blocks me from getting it into the hole... Also, if anyone has info on how to wire the water pump to the injectors I'd appreciate it. I have a harness, but not sure what goes where. |

So, so tired of this rubber connector breaking. The hose eventually 'cuts' it because the fit isn't 100%. Annoying because to replace it, I have to buy a box of various sizes, although I only need ONE out of the 10 in there, because Auto Zone does not sell it individually. Each box costs like $6 too!! This is the fourth time I've had to replace it. |

How close is it to the white hose? looks like it’s almost touching. under load when you’re engine rocks that small hose will hit the big hose pushing up and eventually break the rubber connector. |

Yes you're right. It is touching. The vibration is definitely causing it to cut. Going to move the hose out the way. The hose is connected from the engine block into the air intake. |

I would be keen for some more info on your experience completing the helicoil repair. How is it holding up? I am about to attempt a temporary fix with some PTFE tape, although I'm not sure how this will go and if it will hold up. Either way, I would want to fix it properly as soon as I can. |

My dyno is in my build thread on 92 Octane Costco gas with 70mm pulley, intercooler, etc. 250hp/200tq to the wheels. Turns out to be about +75hp/+75tq give or take. Over stock

The two lines are 75mm stock pulley, not intercooled, 92oct gas on BRZedit from PRE in Portland. The second is 70mm pulley, intercooled, 92oct gas on EcuTek from MotoMike at the formerly known as MotoEast. Intercooled doesn't get heat soaked and performance is better over longer running periods vs non-intercooled. The kit can only run on the stock MAP sensor as any other sensor like the 3bar with freak out the ECU at the top end, probably because of the weird/restrictive air flow with the intercooler sandwiched between the manifold and supercharger. There's no post blower temp reading which seems silly. +30HP/TQ can be achieved by running e85 but in my area of Portland there's only one gas station that dispenses it at the pump (if it is still around), and I don't have space or the desire to get barrels of it.
