There goes my elderly downstairs neighbor burning something again. The telltale odor of burnt food/plastic is wafting up, followed by her suddenly turning her ceiling fan on high (which vibrates my kitchen floor) as she attempts to ventilate the place.

@humfrz can I borrow your gas mask for a few days??

Of course, but, the time I get it to you, it would be too late -

Oh, I hope you have one of these in case the old coot starts to burn the place down -

Do they charge pilots extra for spare tires?

BRZ got picked up today, off to the shop it goes. The adjuster should have an estimate by the end of the week, which I'm assuming it will be a replacement of the whole front bumper with all components attached to it, and possibly the driver side front fender. I have a front lip installed on the bumper, so we'll see if its salvageable, it's a good ole Ebay F.L so I'm not too concerned about it. The car rental place gave a Nissan Pathfinder which let me tell you is absolutely horrid. But that is another subject in itself. Long story short, the entertainment center with control knobs are just clustered together which makes it hard, if not dangerous to use while driving, too many button that have essentially the same function. Vehicle is also horrible on gas, suspension is very jumpy as it feels like you're on a plane with turbulence. The only thing nice is the remote start, heated steering wheel, and comfortable seats.

The individual pieces pop right out. Hardest part to disassemble is actually the badge. Good luck! Don't settle for anything less than a perfect color match.

Absolutely, I'm also not settling with anything other than genuine OEM parts. I don't want to end up with a Duraflex front bumper and then have future issues. I'm making the insurance pay for absolutely everything that was damaged the way is supposed to.

In all seriousness, good luck.

I tried super hard to do the same thing and it still ended up not being "perfect" like nothing had ever happened.

I follow this one car YouTuber who is generally pretty decent compared to all the bratty ones.

But I think I realized he's like the others.

He posted his weekly weekend video the other day how he bought a new Audi RS3 (I think that's the one) and that he just landed a great sponsorship from some detailing products company that will help pay for the car _and_ will be used often because the car is black and he expects to have fun detailing it a lot. He went so far as to say they sent him a big box of detailing products he'll be using on the car.

But, ironically enough, today he posted on his Instagram that he had the car at a professional detailer and was having them work on the car.

I _guess_ he could just be having them do a nice one-off, pro detail since it's new and then he'll be doing the rest from here on.

I just think it's kinda funny.

I just always assume anybody whose primary occupation is based on entertainment/advertisement has a made up personality they use publicly.
