That's a pretty nice one. Better yet, I really like Nissan's Copper Blaze color. I believe they had them on the X-Trails and maybe the Rouge. That color shined and stood out like crazy in the sunlight. Beautiful.

yeah, but toyota/subaru are never going to realistically paint their cars a nissan color. we were discussing paint colors that were already being used on the same product line, as they said the crosstrek is built side by side with the 86.

It’s funny the tS was only offered in white last year. I remember seeing the yellow years ago and creating the affinity then and there.

The yellow was only for the 2017 special edition and even then there were only 500 of them. I can't imagain they would all of a sudden make it a stock colour.

Yep that was the 2015 FRS RS-1. It was a different yellow than the Yellow Edition BRZ though.

Yes, white reflects heat to some extent (its one of the reasons most aircraft, and all composite aircraft are painted white) but with a car covering/tinting the windows makes much more difference than paint color.
Well yeah, here in Hawaii everyone gets tint and puts shades in the windows when parking. If you do those things in a white car and a dark car which do you think gets hotter? If you look around in Hawaii 9/10ths of cars are white. Do you think people choose that cuz white is their favorite color?
In Colorado I have a Transit van set up for camping. Mine and nearly every other one I see are white. They have a huge roof and sides. Anything other than white and you better have solar panels and a battery bank powering an auxiliary A/C.

For a sports car, 1/3 of the yearly production should at least be a fucking cool sports car color.

They did it on the Toyota side of things, there was a unique colour ever year.
It started off with Hot Lava orange until 2018 when they switched it to the Neptune Blue.

Orange was a unique colour, but the neptune blue is definately a sports car shade of light blue. (similar to hyperblue)

There was also a few thrown in, like some kind of cement grey colour (Canada didnt get it so i dont remember what it was called) at some point, and then theres the Hakone Green for 2020. They also changed the grey from asphalt (dark grey metallic in Subie speak) to a lighter grey called Pavement for 2020 (Magnetite grey metallic i believe) which i like better.

Yeah then theres the special editions like the Yuzu Yellow and the cool grey Khaki.

Otherwise Subie seems to stick wtht he same boring colours, Black, White, grey, silver, Red, and their World Rally Blue.

Trendy colours don’t always age well. There’s a Subaru CUV nearby in that cement or putty grey, it already looks dated.

Parking lots in Hawaii.
Not sure where you got your data from but that looks far different than 9/10s white cars.

yes white cars can be up to about 20 degrees cooler than black but there are loads of other colours in between where the difference just isn't that be.

White, black and grey cars are simply more populer everyplace right now regardless of heat.

Not talking about transit vans, or RVs, or any other house size motor vehicles, there I fully agree with you.

But, in a coupe or sedan, or even a Suburban, the difference is with tolerance ranges, and definitely not enough of a difference to say "gotta have a white car no matter what".

Of course, then there are the ones that buy a white car and black out the roof and hood, negating any gain they had.
