I guess so. I haven't shopped new cars in years, and never an EV.

Do you know what the expected life of the battery is?

The warranty on the battery is 8 year/100,000 miles with retention of 70% of the original charge.

That's the warranty so I'm assuming the expected life is greater than that.

"The 120V outlet is estimated to add an average range of 3 miles per charging hour, while the 240V adds an average of 21 miles per charging hour."

Yikes!

Yeah, charging is still the huge glaring weakness for EV. I don’t love Matt Farah’s style much, but his latest smoking fire video with the Mach-E goes into the pain points they had just trying to charge it up in the morning before doing their “review” drive. Sounds like a pain in the ass.

Apparently as bad as Tesla is they likely still have the best overall charger network and user experience.

Went to check out an apartment this morning. I think it’s finally time to leave where I’ve been living since sophomore year of college (9 years this august).

Pricier but has a nicer setup and extra benefits.

Major downside other than rent increase is that the complex is owned by one of those rental conglomerate companies. But that company owns several properties in the area so kind unavoidable I guess.

Other than that seems like a decent spot. I would’ve liked a garage but unfortunately won’t get one, at least not without spending way more. They do have covered car ports though, so no more bird shit on my car while parked at home. That would be very nice.

Wonder if that is single phase or 3 phase. Makes a big difference.

I had to do peer "performance evaluations" this year, which is new to me. My last job didn't have them.

One of the guys on my team I straight up declined doing one for because I've pretty much never had a chance all year to work directly with him. Hopefully my manager won't have an issue with that, but I'd rather not give BS/bad advice for someone I haven't worked much with yet.

Even a couple other coworkers I did evals for got kinda close to BS. But I tried to at least give positive/negative constructive criticism based on how they are during team stuff. It worked a bit better because I know they could use it, whereas the other guy I just plain knew I wouldn't be able to contribute any usable feedback.

Thanks! I'm looking forward to being in a relatively quieter neighborhood. Downtown San Jose is just completely awful.
