I need a Donor car <$10k - Anyone "know a guy"?
A friend of mine is going to join the T4 racecar club for the 2021 race season and needs a donor car within the next 6 weeks to have the car ready in time.
It seems like everything out there that should be $10k or less is being sold someone who "Knows what they got" (which they don't). I am looking for a 2013-2016 FRS Manual for $10k or less that's all in one piece. Maybe there's someone here who knows a guy or gal that is sort of "over it" and wants to offload easily without going through the nonsense of listing a car online or trading it in and getting half of what it's worth. We are hoping to have 3 of in 86's attend the 2021 Runoffs in T4 at the Indy next year so any help you can provide in the hunt would be appreciated. @NoHaveMSG I bet we can get the cage builder to give us a discount if we have him do your car while he's at it.

The only one in your (our) area I can find right now is this one
https://seattle.craigslist.org/skc/c...214442541.html If you end up getting it and don't want that spare engine, I will take it. I have a feeling I may need it soon...

I know you don't have Facebook but there is a few on there. Here are a couple examples, pricing seems all over the map. I have seen stock 13's with asking price of close to 20K.
https://www.facebook.com/marketplace...22861545721640 2013, 117K miles 10K on this one. https://www.facebook.com/marketplace...21304744920512 2015, 35K miles for 11K.

I'm bumping this we because we found a donor (See Turfer's Build thread in the Tracking subforum) but now we have 3 more interested parties wanted to build T4 cars right now, 1 of which is fully funded. Very exciting to see more and more folks looking at making these into race cars and in the Northwest no less!
If you see a good deal on an early FRS/BRZ please let me know. $10k or less. Thank you.

I did see that they revised T4 rules but the only change to the twins was limiting tire size to 225, but with wheel size limitations being what they are I don't think that matters much.

So all this rule accomplished is to make the Hoosier the defacto tire for T4 86's as nobody else's 225 is remotely equal to the oversized HoHo. I submitted a letter to the competition committee to have them change it to maximum 235 so the guys who like BFGs didn't get screwed - but the SCCA rejected that. This isn't the worst thing in the world. The HoHos, as our testing found, were already faster than any other size BFG we tried so without this change - we were already on HoHo because they were the fastest option. I wish the other tire manufactures would start sizing their tires to be more like HoHo, especially because the BFG contingency program is much better.
