It is only a matter of time before somebody get's killed because some dipshit with a fart cannon and pop tune wanted to make sure everybody heard him at 2 am.
Is it possible to have speed bumps installed on that street?

They would just go WOT to the bump anyway. Their whole goal is to make loads of noise.

They pretty much killed the Montreal scene. Then there are towns where I'd never go because local cops are such a hassle even tho my car has the stock exhaust.

I have no problem with enforcement of laws for the sake of public safety. Street racing, burnouts and overall being obnoxious and disturbing the peace should be dealt with. I'm not crazy about showing up at or near a known car meet and inspecting cars for compliance. As usual, a few idiots ruin what could be a nice thing for everyone else that just wants to see friends and what they've done with their cars.

I have never heard of that happening around here. They will watch meets for people coming or leaving like jackasses though. Even was followed for a few blocks myself once.

hold on, you think this car was designed to go fast? its a 200bhp car that is slow in what world was this car designed to be fast?

In the world of twisty tracks and dodging cones. Tracks without long straights
Not "fast" does not exactly mean "slow". I wouldn't call the twins slow, but I wouldn't call them fast either.

Both.

I'm wholeheartedly against obnoxious speeding in residential areas, stanced out death traps, and pop tunes. If your car is a risk to the public safety or you're redlining up and down a quite suburb at night you deserve the long arm of the law up the back side.

What I am also against is persecution and a witch hunt against any car that's modified. The law here in Ontario is that noise limits are arbitrary and basically upto the discretion of the officer. This officer and his ilk are basically pulling over anything that looks modified. He classifies anything non oem as illegal, doesn't matter how loud or quiet it is.

This all leads to a slippery slope of over enforcement and infringement of rights.

I've seen dozens of posts of OEM (Audi RS, BMW M, etc.) cars (with valved exhausts or factory optioned sports exhausts) getting tickets. It's a waste of the tax payers and the defendants time and money to get these resolved.

They're even sticking camera probes in exhausts and if they don't see baffles blocking the internals it's an automatic ticket.

I just ask for smarter policing, less of the flavour of the month ticket bonanza.

Also if you check this guys twitter out, someone definitely ran his mother over with a modified car. He has a hard on for them. Not to mention a very vocal fan base of Karens and Kens to stroke his ego and lick his boots.

Happens all the time in the GTA. Many times cops will show up and blockade the exits with swat team style MTO support vehicles for on site inspection. They’ll start pulling license plates and generally make people’s lives a living hell. Irregardless of whether they were being respectful or not (no burnouts, revving, donuts).

10 years ago I gave my friends verbal permission to shoot me if I ever didnt like loud exhausts. It seemed baffling to me how someone like me would ever come to not like the sound. If i ever didnt like loud exhausts, the real me was dead already.

Yet here I am, 29y/o, buying someone's stock catback for 50$ for winter so i can warm up my car properly before driving off without roasting my neighbors.

Our local cop has his own Facebook page, which is regularly updated by people when they see him. They keep tabs on where he is parked so people can avoid the area
I've seen him a couple of times but has nothing has happened. The Corsa tips look pretty subtle the way they're shaped they kind of look stock how they slant with the bumper. Maybe I'm just lucky so far.

I considered sticking my oem catback on for winter..

In the morning I just move the car in gear for a second to disable the cold start idle so I don't piss my neighbors off at 5am.
