Just checking in-haven't been on the forum for a bit. Basically finished with my Hyperblue. here's latest:
Painted the 2017 Toyko Auto Salon STI show car trunk and wing Hyper blue -installed (my original 2016 trunk, spoiler, harness, etc carefully stored untouched) OEM Brembos from Performance Pack F/R w/new backing plates, rotors, hoses, installed came off same 2017 STI Show car w/Pilot Sport 4 tires clear side marker LED lights installed the Real OEM Audio system-replacing all 8 speakers and adding the sub enclosure in trunk-Love that system and worth the $-the install is sano and well thought out. F86 Speed factory short shift kit w/MTEC shifter spring swap out-actually not liking the bigger spring on RH side of tranny. Too stiff-will swap out back to OEM but leave the Driver side stiffer spring. I did them one at a time and it was great, then too stiff once I installed the RH one. Whiteline 16mm adjustable swaybar and drop links adjusted to 15mm Tanabe Revel coil-overs F/R set to 1/2" drop F/R (had it 1"F/1.3/4" rear drop-was stupid-I'm not in high school anymore but to each their own! Something I didn't think about was w/the Performance Pack Brembos and 18" wheels, clearance for calipers already skimpy. The compact spare that comes OEM with Hyperblue no way will work. Luckily my 1050 RT to SF had no flats recently. I ordered the compact spare wheel and tire that the 2020 TS uses as it's my same setup and has to fit. Loving the car-hated the old spoiler/wing sitting on trunk but wanting to keep car original meant storing the original one and having 2 trunks. It works for me. Also went with the 2017 LED tail lights. I had the Valente sequential from F86 SpeedFactory but didn't like them as much as the OEM 2017 +. Keeping my 2016 tail lights with car parts to always be able to put it back to OEM. Love this car. I've put 10k miles on it since November with 2 trips to Portland from LA and One trip to SF. It's my daily driver and using it to teach my 10 year old how to drive-on back desert roads or course. (on private not public roads) He's great with the clutch and shifting and it's fun to watch. Enjoy your Hyper Blues and keep safe! Stuart Here's the 2017 STI Subaru Toyko Show car my trunk, spoiler wing, wheels, tires and F/R Brembos came off of. It was parted out and shipped to USA w/400 miles on it. this shot before I installed the clear side markers w/amber LED bulbs Last edited by Deardorf; 06-04-2020 at 04:28 AM. |

Hey guys. Upgraded to 2017 bumper last week and had it painted a local, reputable. Came out like this.
Car is 65k km and mostly garage stored, I was under the assumption that this paint isnt a pearl/metallic and wasn't hard to match? Looks like the front bumper saturation is way up and is very noticeable, especially on the fenders What should I do? anyone else have this issue? |

I drive a 2018 50th anniversary that has a fender medallion. In and around Gatlinburg PF and Knoxville. Perhaps that's what you saw? Definitely not a hyperblue, but the color has a large range depending on the weather conditions.

nice ride. my favorite new road is foothills between wears valley and walland. I like Grayson but they are always in up-sale mode in the service department. |

Thanks man. I drove 95 miles to kingsport to get this one because I hate grayson. I barely let them do the recalls. I'd rather go to harriman.
I drive foothills once a week if i get the chance usually weekends now. Maybe ill see ya around. I like the other road between walland and wears valley... old millers cove or something Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk Last edited by Alphaw0lf666; 07-14-2020 at 09:04 AM. |

Just over 4 years of ownership, had the BRZ since new.
How she started, one of the last Hikari BRZs sold new on Ontario. Was surprised I even found one when I went to look at the end of April, 2016. How she sits now
