Incredibly longtime lurker here who finally joined the club. The 2020 BRZ tS happened to line up with what I wanted, white, manual, and performance package. None of the other BRZ in the area fit those criteria. The upgraded wheels and tires are a plus as I plan to get into autocross.
About half-way through the break-in and am waiting to get it back from PPF install.

Thanks! Going to try and stay stock for a bit. We'll see how those initial autocross events go. My guess is my skills are lower than the car's limits for the time being.

Thanks! I haven't looked where they are lately. I know Thunderhill has some scheduled with SCCA but I figured things aren't running as normal right now.

As a former RX8 owner and enthusiast, I’ve decided to upgrade my life to a charcoal grey 2017 BRZ. These cars have a lot of the same spirit, style, and grace. Soon to be owner, long time ft86club lurker. I just got the news that my 06 JCW Mini will need a wiring harness and supercharger soon, and I'm tired of dumping money into it. Set to test drive a '16 BRZ tomorrow, and with the news of the Mini, now the wife is on board!

The only big decision is if is should buy from a dealership, the classified, or through my friend on Manheim. And if I should hold out for a Li PP.

IMO hold out for a performance pack car. The LED lights, Sachs dampers, Brembos, and interior fit/finish/tech are all major upgrades over the standard fare. If you're accustomed to the Mini's creature comforts, and brake/suspension feel, I'd say it's a must.

You are probably right, but I pulled the trigger on a Premium 16 with 35k miles this weekend. Coming of the Mini, which was insanely harsh and stiff, the Premium felt a lot more compliant, yet more planted. The swaybars on the JCW package were so stiff, I would regularly go up on 3 wheels pulling into a parking lot. I didn't miss anything about it while driving the BRZ. They took my Mini in trade too, so now I don't have to deal with it anymore.

Congrats on your purchase! Can't go wrong with this platform. My '17 has 49k miles now and is still solid as a rock.

Hi, I've been lurking for a bit but thought I should probably register to chime in every so often.

I don't own one of The Twins but I'm looking forward to getting one (or it's replacement) in the next two-ish years.

My current car is a Mazda 2 (1.3L) which is a good example of a "slow car driven fast", it offers reasonable engagement and fun 90% of the time which is what I hope to get out of it's replacement.
