SC Kit for reliability (Jackson vs HKS)
If you’re comparing those 2, don’t forget Harrop. Same blower as Edelbrock, but lighter manifold, better cooling, no MAF problems, and the bypass valve doesn’t fail as often. Last edited by Yoshoobaroo; 05-15-2020 at 09:35 PM. |

Don't forget Vortech! Well built, rebuildable too. Don't think you're supposed to run them in extreme cold though (like below 20F I think).

The Jackson Racing kit kind of makes the Vortech kit moot. The JRSC has a better powerband and a wider range of operation.

I think it was install difficulties, he had an early kit. Don't think he liked the washer fluid tank in particular. He did like the power though, even though it was a conservative tune. Videos are on youtube. I think in general he was just somewhat sour on the car and the whole modified/tuner car experience, not sure if that was his thing at the end of the day. |

It's certainly his thing now. Have you watched his car reviews on YouTube? I respect his perspective of wanting a turn key car, but that's really not what this car is. He's still super sour about this car.
