Stabilizer link dust shield
Hi,
I noticed a crack in my stabilizer link dust shield today. Anybody knows whether you can buy the dust shield separate or I have to buy a whole new link for it? I am on HKS Hypermax IV if it would matter. Thank you for your support. https://i.imgur.com/MdbNGG7.jpg |

Pretty sure the boot is attached to the endlink, I doubt you can replace it without replacing the whole endlink

Google "endlink dust boot" and you'll see a bunch for sale. BUT, with it currently being compromised the endlink joint could have already been damaged from external debris so even if you find a replacement (it's just held on with springs (look at the wide end and you'll see it) you could be covering up a soon to be bad joint with a fresh dust boot. Roll the dice on that one @Masacur. If you unbolt that end and play around with the joint, it feels fine AND you've found a replacement boot (I've never seen one myself though I didn't look too hard)...go ahead. Otherwise just replace the entire thing. |

Front end links are a wear item and need periodic replacement. At least here where the city's have littered the streets with speed humps. I'm convinced they're in kahoots with auto repair shops and fuel retailers.

Thanks for the replies.
Since end links aren’t that expensive. 20-30 dollar according to toyota-epc.com, I think it is better to buy full new end links indeed. Bit suprised that there is already a crack because the vehicle is only 2 years old.... |

If your car lives in a track-like area, with no snow, and fully stock, pretty sure it'll live a bit longer. I'm fine at 5 years (anecdotal)
