Got oil catch can and oil cooler installed!

Also changed to AMSOIL SN+ oil per a reputable vendor here as they told me Low-Speed Pre-Ignition may be one of the factors cause the knocking.

Let's hope that address the issue. If not, I will drive to US and try the US 92 gas.

Is it true that cosworth ceased the production of this SC?
What happened to the long promised stage 3.0…?

Seems like they got taken over by new management and so they decided to shutter the SC. They probably have kits still available but you would have to order directly from Cosworth. When the BRZ was redesigned in 2017, they changed things with the intake, exhaust and ecu that made retrofitting the Cossy less user friendly. I think some people reported that auto-blip was not working, for example.

The air box is different and so the Cosworth air filter no longer fits the later models. Plus you have to use an adapter hose on the intake to get it to seal... All for a measly 5 factory horsepower... So rather than redesign the supercharger system (which was low selling) they canceled it. At least this is my understanding.

Stage 3 was going to require an engine rebuild with forged components. Too expensive to make it viable.

I guess the only comprehensive and complete end-to-end solution is from HKS...
I'm switching my Cosworth SC dream to a full HKS build.
GTIII-RS Turbo + low compression 2.1l stroker kit with forged internals...

Company decision was made to stop support/manufacture for aftermarket applications - not just on this platform.

Fensport here in the UK were running the internals on their race car before the change in direction with what the company do. Any remaining stock is available, but no more will be made. Matt still provides tune support for those running their kits, which is decent since he doesn't really have to.

Didn't they also want to focus more on racing too? It really is a shame Cosworth left the aftermarket, though. :/

Maybe, just maybe, if I have the funds and they still have some, I might pick up one of their kits. Only problem is what Sly said, how it seems it's not the most suited for 17+ cars,

Hello chaps

we have about a dozen installations in 2017 cars with no issues other than the fact our air filter doesn't fit the new airbox
I tend to recommend people fit a blitz panel filter instead for a 2017 car but other than that it works just as well in a post 2017 car and its does in a pre 2017 car

that said all of our remaining kits have just been bought up by co-ord

Also focus? One would suggest was already their main focus But then there are the new OEMs too, I would imagine that was the main reason.

to be honest our main focus at the moment is making Valkyrie engines and also making the new GMD V12 for his Supercar and then there's the Valkyrie racing programme
and at least 5 other projects I can't talk about

Hi Matt,

Where can one buy a SC now, do you not sell them through Cosworth anymore?
