ROM Verification
Hi,
I have 2017 BRZ M/T. I have pulled the ROM and found the Cal ID = ZA1JK00R. My car is Right Hand Drive, M/T with black plastic intake manifold. I guess my ROM should be similar to ZA1JK00G but I have to verify that. How can I do the ROM verification? Right now I can't open it in Rom Raider due to unrecognizable Cal ID. Any help or suggestion or how-to will be highly appreciated. Nick. |

rom you pasted here, is a pure k00R rom,
if you do not have definition, then you can force flash a K00G, either with ecutek, or with Romraider using a OTS K00R rom, that is actually a k00g rom |

Rom Raider is for editing. Ecuflash is for flashing. Are you saying it is safe to flash K00G ROM into my K00R-based ECU? Thanks for your suggestions. Last edited by Spec C Wannabe; 07-03-2019 at 09:10 PM. Reason: for more clarity. |

If you have Tactrix/ecuflash then keep a copy of this rom. Then you can flash back the K00R rom if you run into problems. Its very likely like 99% that you can use K00G rom as a substitute for the K00R attached is flash only definition for ecuflash for K00R rom test flash the K00R Then try K00G the K00G is fully defined for romraider and ecuflash and has logging for ecuflash |

In my opinion, the first step is to try to locate the correct Cal ID for your ROM file. This can be done by searching online for the correct Cal ID and then replacing the incorrect Cal ID with the correct one in the ROM file. Once the correct Cal ID is in place, you should be able to open the ROM in Rom Raider and begin the verification process. The verification process involves comparing the ROM file with the values stored in the engine's memory, and making sure that the values match up. This process can help to ensure that the ROM is functioning correctly and that the values stored in the engine's memory are correct. You can also try by using Ecuflash and selecting "ECU" > "Select Vehicle Type" > "subarubrz". You may now "Read calibration and code area using OEM method". Note the CALID in the log.
