It won't make any reasonable different and there is ZERO reason to stagger tire sizes on the 86. ZERO. Run 255 or 265 square.

Thanks for the information. I wanted 265 around but I have a friend that said the 265 up front started to rub as the wheel fully turned. I'm just running the coil overs and no other mods in the wheel area, would I still be ok with the 265 up front?

Looking to join the 18 inch club. Currently on a 17x9 +35 245/40/17 setup with coils, no lca or camber bolts in the front.
Can I get away with 18x9.5 245/40/18 without camber adjustments? Just stock parts? Do I need to roll my fenders to fit 18inches or will I be okay with the 245 tires? |

as a sidenote: for daily driving and maybe some spirited canyoning, what should a good camber be on F/R?

265/35/18 tires rub on the bumper tab. They will rub on the tab till they wear off the area that touches or till you cut it off your car. That's how its done. Or use 245/35/18 for stock diameter spec. Or 255/35/18 , which is generally the largest size tire to fit without modification of the car. (car, not suspension- you will need coilovers to fit the wheels and tires you want)

the rear bumper tab is the little corner of the bumper on the inside of the wheel well where it meets the quarter. if you don't do it it will simply trim itself, not a problem you'll just hear rubbing noises at times under compression....which is also a big difference. if you have shit BC suspension you have no suspension travel you won't rub. You see my setup, the ONLY times i rubbed are full lock, and even then it was a maybe. if you stick to a 40 offset and a 265/35 you'll be fine if not slammed. an all you people in here worried about rubbing, think to yourself, how often do you go full lock, I hardly ever did/do. |
