I know and honestly at this point I'm kind if hoping they screw it up so we can get a class action going. We should be able to trust dealership maintenance teams and Toyota corporate to at least toss us a new engine if it blows.

I'm saddened by all this needless destruction of perfectly good machines. Such a waste.

This was over the last week. My comp was down. I relocated the keyless entry module to under the drivers side dash speaker mount. I didn't want it on the rear deck anymore. I tidied up the wiring, tested everything and reinstalled the dash.

Got a slew of check engine codes. First time it happened I was in the car wash and I got a low voltage on O2 sensor, ever since then it's been acting funky.

Had the passenger side low beam go out yesterday on my commute in so finally got around to installing the LED bulbs I had purchased in October when they were on sale on Amazon.
Huge difference (good) in the quality of the light, and no impact I could see on the cutoff when I tested it. Made the "regular" hi-beam lights useless though so changed those out as well. Probably need to turn off the DRLs now....

Looks like they are all related to your O2 sensor. Maybe disconnect battery to reset? Or start replacing sensors?

I wiped them before they just come back. I'm going to get a catless front pipe later so sensor 2 isn't going to be used anyway, right? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I used these (because they were on sale). They have both the low beams (H11) and the high beams (9005).
The light from them is called "Xenon white" and is pretty harsh/bright but in my observation, from both a wall check and driving this AM, the beam does light the road further out than the original bulbs, and there was no bleed over that I could see either up or out. The 9005s are slightly dimmer when running as DRLs rather than high-beams (geez what a stupid design), but only moderately so, and probably not enough. I'm pretty careful about running low beams in anything below good weather though so I don't think it will be an issue. if so I'll switch back to Xenon for the high beams or turn the DRLs off. My old high-beam bulbs both had hot spots on them and were basically days from burning out anyway.

I got my first bug splatter of the season on my windshield this morning.
Only those that live in the cold climate regions will understand just how exciting that is!
