Need an opinion from Whiteout Owners (blacking out lights)
Hey all, just purchased a Whiteout FRS and I need some opinions, or if you guys have pictures to help me settle my question, that'd be great too. I'm going to black-out my taillights definitely, but I'm debating to black-out the toyota emblem, the GT-86 emblem from Carson (when they get delivered), the side markers, etc. But I dont know if I should black them out, or just keep them all chrome/clear. If any of you guys have White FRS' and you have blacked anything (Taillights, emblems, any lights, etc.) out, if you wouldnt mind sharin gpictures, Id greatly appreciate it. Or any who have the chrome Toyota emblems, just for reference. Or if anyone has an opinion on which would look better, Im here to listen!
Thanks in advance. |

Nothing says "I'm trying way too hard to be cool" than blacked out tail lights. Not a good look IMO.

yea, don't black out the tails...
it's a dumb mod if you ask me; it hinders light output and in some states it's illegal... don't complain if you get rear ended... and yes, they will use that excuse against you, haha...

I'm with the other guys... I plan on just "redding out" lol, the tails.. But I do think I'll be blacking out the emblems and tinting the reverse lights / reflector to blend into the bumper.

Same.. I just don't understand why people black out their lights. It makes for such little light output, especially at night time when you really need it. Don't even get me started on blacked out headlights...

I plan to rebadge my whiteout with toyota emblems and coating them white. I think it will look dope. I was thinking of blacking out the emblems but that would really make them stand out especially on a white car. I kinda want the "debadged" look so I'm going with white on white, and still be able to spot the toyota badge slightly.

I wouldnt "Blackout" the tails but a small tint like the Grazio should look nice. I have a whiteout and I am torn on doing the grazio tails or not. I have also thought about the emblems but not sure I have thought about leaving them chrome and possibly color matching the inside of the headlights. Still messing around with a lot of photoshop to see what I like and dont like.
If you happen to do it post pics =) |

Couldn't you just paint them yourself, like outlined in this DIY: http://forums.generationdub.com/show...t=20691&page=1 ?
