rear bumper damage

Some idiot rolled into be at the light. Anyone know how to repair the cf piece? It's not detachable, so a whole bumper replacement would be needed. But white is a bitch to color match, so I don't really want to replace the bumper especially since the paint is still ok. Suggestions?

you might be able to take a blow drier to it and make it look better. there are videos on youtube showing how. you can also buy a cover for just that part of the bumper like this.

Sucks but unless you want to replace the entire bumper cover I'd leave it alone, maybe place one of those band-aid decals over it? Adds character.

I got in the same sorta accident. They’re gonna replace the whole thing so go with insurance.

Personally I would cut out the black piece and do a diffuser!

Running single-exit exhaust to make space for a tow strap?

i think it's beyond repair on the cf part.. even if they can get it to pop out, the weave would be jacked up. Had a better look at it during lunch and I saw tht the painted part actually had the guy's license plate shape indented into it, so i need to replace the bumper

his insurance policy expired. That's why i called the cops when i saw the expiration date on his insurance card... i could go thru my insurance, but i would have to pay the deductible, which is almost the same price as getting a new bumper and repainting it

Same thing happened to me today. I did not realize the black, plastic trim was not removable from the white painted bumper (2015 BRZ). Are there really no replacement black trim pieces available? It's the whole bumper or nothing?

I do 1-2 track days (HPDE) a year and the occasional autocross, so I'm not adverse to a diffuser. There are a ton of aftermarket rear bumpers and diffusers out there. Is there any consensus on some that improve performance and aren't just for looks? I haven't been able to find a thread that describes more than one.
