Looks like that little cubby under the AC controls might be useful... maybe I can make a tray that slides into the cubby and holds my phone horizontally under the controls... |

No, you wont be able to make a tray. Many threads have been made about that cubby and what fits there. |

To explain my tray idea more, the actual tray part would end up sticking out of the cubby such that I could put my phone in it and the phone would end up resting vertically under the AC controls and in front of the shifter, such that I could glance down while driving to check the map. So the only thing in the cubby would be a piece of plastic to keep this tray stable. I'm not talking about putting an entire phone in the cubby, which would be worthless anyway, because how would I be able to see it. |

I figured that's what you were trying to do, seriously check the threads on what people put in, or have tried to put in that empty slot. |

Am I stupid if I don't buy a Civic Si?
You really can’t win around here. Any negative comment made about these cars turns into drama with people telling you to buy a Prius, Civic, Camry or Mustang. It happens to me weekly. You just have to get used to it.
Anyways, I also prefer to have my phone in an easy to reach location where I can see the screen for Waze. This was the cleanest and easiest solution I came up with. It’s a $10 magnetic mount. I use a case so the metal plate is stuck to the inside of the case. The phone doesn’t budge. If it wasn’t for this mount I probably would have sold the car and bought a Prius. |

Hahaha. There was someone asking about baby seats so I threw my kids seat in the back and had my wife get in the car to demonstrate that it is possible. She is 5’7” with very long legs so it’s a bit tight but manageable. If I showed a full pic you would not be disappointed. |

what do you expect with so many people buying a twin and then hating on it? The number of times people buy one of these and then decide they don't like it is staggering, it is how you can get one with less than 5000 miles for a lot less than buying new.
Any time anyone is even close to not be 100% we are going to say buy something else. Too many people decide the car is something it just is not. |

http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showp...6&postcount=34 She isn't miserable but she wouldn't want to go on a long trip that way either. We have a blended family. I have one son, she has a son and two girls and now we have one together (11 months). So sometimes the schedules work out where we only have the baby and we can actually take the FRS. The rest of the time we take the Suburban. Last edited by ermax; 10-25-2018 at 08:47 AM. |
