At low loads, i.e. cruising, there is no lugging. If I need to accelerate, I obviously shift down. Plus this is the MY17, so the final drive is shorter.

My WRX I had Tomei headers (+40ft/lbs!) a Noname DP and 2 1/2 pipe with just a cat looking thing somewhere on the way back. I had a Prosport muffler though which was an OEM STi option back in 03 or 04 or something. It was barely any louder than stock. The only thing people heard out of my murdered out stealth machine as it passed by was the hiss of the BOV as I shifted.

I'm not sure what they though I was driving, but it made my day.

I swear kids love this car, maybe mostly budding gearheads. But several times when I've been behind a bus all the kids in the back start going crazy looking at it and trying to take pics

It might be because of my headlights, LED hid setup that it might look more premium, but a blue sports car really pulls attention. They also probably aren't as familiar with it as other cars, they've probably grown up with most of the boring Toyota and such and have no clue what it is

Highly doubt that a bus load of kids have the ability to judge the quality of a car by the headlights.

I know what you are going about.

My previous FR-S had the Winjets with the DRL LED bars and they looked 100x better than the stock halogen DRLs. I had a loud exhaust on that car and would be the theatrical douche that would time turning on the DRLs when the engine cranked over, like what a typical exotic would do. Fun times.

Unfortunately I can't be the same douche with my BRZ, but the '17 DRLs look both upscale and futuristic.

Plenty of compliments for the DRL design of these cars.

Yea I have the DRL always on kit wired in so it stays on and looks dope at night. I see this DRL design in alot of other toyotas as well.

In Germany, we have these stereotypical Mercedes C and S Classes:

They are lowered, have deep dish wheels, are mostly black, and I reckon that 90% of them are straight piped by just using a piece of pipe bought at our equivalent of home depot.
The drivers usually fit their cars in attitude and appearance.

Guess there must also be something equivalent across the pond?

I swear that every single one of them revvs their engine through the roof once they are next to you at a stop light, and usually take off with launch control, only to stop at the next red light and do the same over again after I have casually cruised up to them...

I seem to be getting "Race me bro" driving language from every Focus ST I come across. Is it just me? Usually it is from Sport edition and SI Civics, but lately it is always the ST's that are giving me flybys.

This car is truly a magnet for "come race me bro" moment.. Just got her fixed from a long coma because of TOB and guess what?

First day I took her back on road and already got the attention from mustangs and not just one, but two turbo diesel trucks! I was at a red light and didn't know there were two trucks behind me. I had the habit of revving first then engage the clutch and the occasional rev-matching, which makes a lot of noise haha.. I guess those trucks got the wrong message or something. One of them sped up from behind, got on the right lane and yielded if I "want to have a go". I kept my cool and ignore them but one just won't stop revving next to me.. So, at the last light before a straight-away, I decided to play and see what they'll do. Holded the pedal down in launch control like I'm ready to go on the green. Boy, those trucks are not holding back at all.. All I see was a puff of diesel smokes, tires screeching and both are at it haha. I just laugh all the way home.
