I heard Toyota is making a special edition for the 2019 86. It would make sense for them to make a tS equivalent car (with Brembos, suspension, aero kit and a wing).

If the tS is the STI 86 then this 2019 special edition has got to be the TRD 86.

I would bet a lot of money that this is gonna happen for MY19, and I don't gamble much...

Edit: Oh shoot this is old news https://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=126152

I saw one in SE PA - the color is kinda blue/gray metallic.

I can see how some folks might like it.

Saw one what? A 2019 SE BRZ? Blue/Gray metallic sounds like the 2018 BRZ 50th Anniversary model.

I think the 1st Gen. Of these cars will become a rare gem in years to come.
Maybe Doug Demuro will one day make a video called "Here's why everyone loved the 1st Generation Frs/Brz"

Did anyone realize that the '19 model will be pretty much unchanged, except maybe from some new color and a TRD version of the last year's tS model?

Were there any notable changes from the MY17 and MY18?

HU, welcome lighting, and one or two other things I can't remember.

As mentioned, the head-unit with CarPlay, and Welcome Lighting are new.

One-touch turn signals are the main difference for MY18.

Also, the headlights now automatically turn on when the wipers are on.

I can see this becoming a requirement since in so many places its the law.

Just rumor and speculation based on the new motor in the Ascent.

We don't even have an official statement about a 2nd generation yet. Just unofficial "quotes" from an auto blog.

Fair enough. I figured I’d get the scoop in this forum. Thanks!
