A bit hard to read, you're complaining about yourself a little too much. You only really need to state that you made a mistake and felt like an idiot once, then ask for advice, not 20 times.
It is what it is, figure your shit out, move on.

Thanks for the tips. I've looked into it and you're mistaken on Careless Driving. Careless Driving is found in the Highway Traffic Act (and is not a criminal offense, so no criminal record for me thankfully) Dangerous Driving is found under the Criminal Code of Canada (which results in a criminal record). |

Talk to a lawyer/ticket fixer firm. The first consolation is usually free so worth a shot.
Carless driving is the ticket they issue when they can't make anything else stick. Do not make a claim for cosmetic damage. Live with it. Stop trying to show off. Nothing you could do in a Japanese car will impress the Challenger/Mustang/Camaro crowd. Leave traction control on while on the streets. Stop demeaning yourself. You screwed up you admitted it. End of story. If you truly can not afford the car go talk to the dealer you leased from. They may have options. If you have to walk away from it then your credit score will take a hit for 7 years but you will recover.

Yep. For the first visit. Once they decide if it is worth their while then they start charging. Most ticket places here are not staffed by lawyers though they are paralegals.

I'm not going to go into detail, but I know exactly what you're going through. The important part is not just that you acknowledge responsibility for what you've done, but far more important that you change your behavior going forward. Otherwise, there's been no lesson learned, and the cycle WILL repeat itself. Good luck.

Thanks guys, you're right. I only managed a few hours of sleep but I took the day off today, rested this morning and cleared my head. I got a very highly recommended paralegal from Ottawa to take over the ticket. Hopefully it all works out and believe me when I tell you I've learned my lesson. If I'm so fortunate to be able to keep the car after this blows over (and currently) I will be no longer endangering anyone or myself on the streets anymore.
I was acting like an idiot for the short time I've owned the car and I've unfortunately had to learn the hard way what the consequences are. If anything positive comes out of this it's that there's one less dangerous driver on the road now. Thanks again for the help. |

Don't sweat it too much... May have felt like the world was ganging up on you but just don't plead guilty and get ex-copper or soemthing they wont be able to help with insurance but may be able to get charges dropped.
Careless driving on your g2 is no fun.. Happened to me as well and you will be paying high insurance for a couple years but you must do everything you can to get the charges dropped. Don't lease anything ever again if this was a finance I would say just pay it off and don't drive it for a couple years it's not like the car's gonna vanish into thin air if you don't insure it but in your situation I'd say lease bust it. Take a financial hit now but live to drive another twin once you can find a good used one to finance. Your not an idiot man just don't do it again and don't let this scare you from learning how to drift just go do it at the track.autoX.wtv just not on the streets.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think @JD001 was calling attention to consolation vs. consultation here. |
