Just finished a 2 hour car wash and tech shine. Finally looks nice after that dusty/dirty lightning storm a couple weeks ago!

Only thing is I think the Meguiar's gold soap I use attracts flies and stuff. Rinsing the car isn't an issue but then while soaping the car and then rinsing, plus later drying the car there are so many flies/gnats/something. Not sure why. I was washing my car in a clean driveway, though it is surrounded by grass so maybe that's why.

Think it's just the fact you got flies around. My Meguiar's always seem to attract the birds as soon as I take it out and they start pooping everywhere >.>

So I was wondering why my car got louder and smellier recently, turns out my overpipe wasn't even connected to my headers. Just blowing out exhaust all over the skid plate. Got it fixed up over the weekend and it's like a different car now.

lol gypped twice in a week while apartment hunting now. that thing from last week, and then yesterday i wasted about 3 hours of my time driving to/from Burlingame to look at another unit in a building I'd seen about a month ago. basically lost that apartment if you guys remember because I didn't have paystubs at the time, etc. This time I was all prepared and the management company had my application already submitted and on file. The on-prem manager had told me at the time "I have a second unit opening up in a month with a slightly different layout but everything else is the same and price should be comparable."

So we had kept in touch with emails since then every week and he said to come by over the weekend to check it out.

Of course I get there and: appliances in the kitchen aren't the same, there's no dishwasher (something I honestly want/need), and the apartment is assigned both a garage and carport, which ups the price by a few hundred more dollars per month (yeah), and there's no way to have them remove one of the parking spots from the lease, etc.

Haggled them down but they'll only do 100 less which is still more than the nicer apartment I lost out on.

So I wasted time and gas making the trip and whatever.

Me, haha. It looks like one of the bolts rattled itself loose over time. Put threadlocker on it with new bolts just to be safe.

Ask for the specifics the next time you're in a situation like that. They used vague words to describe it.

Yeah, I actually did at the time. Asked for price, layout, appliances, garage or carport, etc.

So if they're not willing to tell you the specifics, mark it as a red flag and move onto the next apartment.
