Got a new windshield after a vary small stone chip became a large ugly scar on the passenger side.

Only problem using the twin as a DD is the fact that you have to drive it on public roads.

Picked up some filters today, gave the car a little much overdue TLC.

Air filter change was nice and easy using the guidance I remembered seeing on here about unbolting the airbox. Tried to do it without unbolting, got fed up with trying to get it to close cleanly. Will be doing the unbolting method from now on. I'm assuming the different part numbers have to do with Japanese vs. U.S. origin.

Cabin air filter was nice and easy, and I got the only one my dealer had left in stock. Much smaller than I expected it to be, though. Can't tell in the pics, but there was a ton of debris and dead bugs in between the folds. The car's been on the road about 10 months, 15k miles, so I'm not surprised that it's due.

Only other thing I did was vacuum the footwells. Driver's side was full of little pebbles that have been beating up my floormat underfoot and getting under the mat and into the carpet.

I like that look a lot better. The silver accents are in all the wrong places to me. It's a basic sports car, just let it be that.

No black trim for the uprights on either side of the HVAC section?

For sure, the silver looks gaudy and tacked on. The interior doesn't need adornment.

I haven’t seen the upright pieces in black, and for completeness/best appearance, it should be done also. I’ll be keeping an eye out for them. Thinking of blacking out the TRD knob too, but haven’t figured out how to recreate the shift pattern in red, though I do have a knock-off TRD knob to experiment with.

Considering these black door levers to replace the chrome:

Thanks. First time I've ever had a head unit with an LCD screen in a car, kinda distracting at first - I'll have to get used to it. I mainly wanted it so I could have more EQ control over the audio.

Still working on sorting out the USB port situation. Toyota uses a physically different plug that doesn't go directly into the Subaru head unit.

I don't like mine (MY15). First one with a screen I've ever owned. When I switch from my AM talk show to FM I have to press it like 5 times, and with no buttons you cannot do it by touch, you have to look at the screen. Not good for safe driving.

Yep, when I first got my 2013, I had the head unit swapped out for a Kenwood unit.

As I recall, they (the Geek Squad) had to use a adapter harness. Also, they didn't use the in-dash USB port, but ran a USB cable into the glove box.

All I wanted was to upgrade to be able to hear XM radio ...... but, I got carried away ....... however, I do find the GPS thing handy.
