Nope, that was his exact words. I asked him 3 three this same question. Whatever I said I like he said it was not popular. Clearly that's how they hook you in making you think you have a good chance for the first batch when they know for sure it won't happen.

Excellent news! I just called my dealer sales rep and he said ETA for my car is in 10 days! Pretty stoked still!

Don Docksteader. I actually went straight down there right after work and they checked my serial number for me; found out I might end up getting it around late July, early August instead. They said they don't want to get my hopes up too soon. lol At least it's built for me already...thank goodness.

Sorry to revive an old thread, anyone else still waiting at Richmond Subaru? My End of June ETA as you might have guessed didn't happen.

I'm pretty sure they are screwing you over I have no proof other than they fact that its Subaru Richmond. I would contact the General Manager and get the info straight from him. Dealing with salemans is a joke thats what I learned from this buying exp.

I expected it to happen. But, it's not like I NEED the car immediately, so I don't really care, and the wait isn't affecting me so much.

Just wanted to get an update on how everyone else are doing at this particular dealership.

In case anyone is still waiting at this dealership, just got off the phone with Peter from Richmond Subaru. here's the information I gathered:

- Only 100 BRZ for Canada this year. 1st batch they got was 3 cars, next batch coming in will be July 15 and will be the 3 cars again. and mostly likely the same way until the end of the year.

- your place in line for the colour/trim/transmission means nothing as the guy who placed his order before you will have priority on any car that comes in (even if it differs entirely from what he originally ordered)

- Furthermore, from his customers' response, most buyers don't care about colours and trim anymore, so everyone is taking what is available at the earliest time.

What does this mean? Take me for example, I'm placed 9th overall. they're getting 3 cars per month (1st batch of 3 sold back in June), so in an ideal world, I would get my car in mid August, under the condition that:

1. they have the exact trim I want: SWP or Black Sport-tech MT.
2. If the 5 guys before me get what they want, or didn't order the same thing as I did and decided to wait.

I can only get the car earlier if:

- none of the guys in front want a white/black sport-tech MT... which is very unlikely.

Worst case scenerio: All 5 guys in front decided to wait for exactly what I ordered. This would lead to the possibility that I won't get my car this year as it all depends on what Subaru of Canada decided to ship to this dealership.

It really doesn't hurt me one bit as the longer the wait = the bigger down payment I can save up. I like driving in the rain better than in the summer, so it's actually playing out quite nicely for me.

Hey Motopythons, Can i give you a little hope?


I'm 1st in line at Richmond Subaru, WRB Sport tech Manual.

It's VERY VERY unlikely i'm getting the car at this point..i wont' get into it. There's issues with the car itself that bother me..PLUS i wanna finish my WRX, i've just spent over 7,000 on Wheels, Coilovers and a Catback for it..lol

I haven't been called yet..so i don't know what's going on...As far as richmond subaru knows, i'm still getting it. I do know that a white, black, and WRB have gone out already..i haven't been called once...

Richmond Subaru Sales licks balls BTW..stay away

Just saw on craigslist that Richmond subaru has an unclaimed Silver sport Tech MT with some marked up accessories. Post was on the 13th so not sure if anyone bought it yet.
