Do we have a general consensus as to which one to buy and use yet? There are so many offerings, but I'd hate to buy one and it just be a pain to work with.
I ultimately want the most responsive unit with 3g/4g/lte support so I can throw a sim card in it. As well as as close to PnP with the steering wheel controls and backup camera (i dont mind buying adapters/harnesses) |

Just figured that out as well. Turns out I wasn't looking at all apps available and just the default shortcuts.
The next issue I'm having is the volume. It seems like the radio volume is quite high compared to all GPS apps? So I can barely hear alerts from the GPS, even if I have it set to mute the radio entirely. Also do we have speakers or just subwoofers in our doors? Whatever it is, seems like those aren't working either. Granted, I don't recall ever splicing any wires for that, so I probably need to do some more research. |

Do any of you guys have a strange issue with playing music though the head unit?
I try to load some music onto a hard disk or USB Stick, but it doesn't read all the music folders. Eventually it shows all the folders after up 5 minutes of scanning. I have a Joying Head Unit. |

1TB Hard Disk, after further investigation the Joying Head Unit looks like it can only handle 10,000 songs and not 50,000 Lol that I trying to get it to scan.
It does work on the Music Player that came with the Head Unit , but scans through the list of songs and takes like 5 Mins to reach 7,000 songs. After 10,000 songs it starts to freeze and I think it cannot cope with the volume of songs on my Hard Disk. I will just have to delete some and just to keep it under 10,000 |

Only issue I'm having now is slow ass updating of apps. Going to try to uninstall Google play updates and see if that helps.

The main problem was it would try to scan through the hard disk get to about 7,000 - which by that time I had switch the car off. Then it would have to scan through all the music again. I solved it by downloading Media Monkey which seems to index the music and so far my only issue is that I have to give media monkey enough time to scan through all the music. I just let it scan ever time drive and slowly it builds up the library.
