Well, folks, we have returned from our short adventure over the mountains.
We took Chinook Pass over Cascade Mountains to the Yakima Valley and roamed around the 1.2 million acre Yakama Indian Reservation. No, we didn’t give the Indians any of our money at their casinos. We visited several Indian tribal centers/museums and other history museums…..very interesting places. One of our objectives was to beat the 100 degree plus temperatures here in Puyallup, but even in the high passes, the temperatures were in the 90s. Yakima was even hotter with 105+ degree temps. Oh yes, FYI, if you ever decide to venture deep into Indian territory, there is an old Army fort named Simcoe (now a state park) that is a few miles beyond the “town” of White Swan. DO NOT stop in White Swan. Why? Cause there ain’t nutten there but an old broken down gas station with unfriendly natives …… that are still pissed about the white eyes taking their land…….. We returned via White Pass ……. with our scalps ….. It was a nice little get away. humfrz |

Canon might be the most infuriating company on the planet for videographers. Here I am, stuck with an 8-year-old APS-C DSLR, and I want to give them my money, but they just refuse to make any half decent products...

Since the local 86Drive pie run my wife is getting used to me driving a bit faster. I get to drive the twistys, all day, eat good food, hang with my best friend and lover. Ok, my hydraulics still work fine. Life is very good. Reason I told you all this? I will have my nannies on, you are all safe. |
