They all keep a laundry list to dish it out at the very end.

Sometimes I feel bad for the call center folks they have like some sort of timer to keep tabs on them and it appears on these big ass TVs hanging off the ceiling.

I do not miss end user support. Although now my interaction with users is a lot more... eh screw it, vindictive.

Me: "User ID blargh attempted to install the malicious file from cnet.com pretending to be a free video converter 8 times between 18:01 and 18:06 UTC."

Me: "Here's the screenshot of the detection on your computer, as well as your user ID running Chrome.exe. Additionally, here is the access log for proxy authentication, and proof that you tried changing the file name the last four times you downloaded it from the same link."

Blargh: "..."

I don't remember if we talked specifically about it but we had a grass strip on the "farm" when I was a kid. My parents had a J3 and a Luscombe Silvaire. I'm really sentimental about Cubs.

You can land anywhere... the question is whether you'd like to be able to take off again.

I got to see the scenic approach into Boston twice last week... evidently someone decided landing planes on intersecting runways at nearly the same time was a good idea till the last second... suppose as long as it works out...

Dude they are so fun to fly. Slow and low , stick and rudder. I had an absolute blast. The whole part about being on floats and landing on water only added to it because we just landed wherever we wanted essentially. Especially when I deal with PAX, WX, ATC, etc... It was nice to go back to basics, no radio even, and just fly for the sake of flying. We just followed the long winding CT river about halfway up (landed on it like 3x just for fun), and then headed East, touched down on a couple lakes, and then followed the river back. Since we were over water we could fly as low as we wanted pretty much (just have to space to boats).

Total seat-of-the-pants. Throttle back in a good stiff headwind and you could fly backward. So much fun.

My mom flew coast to coast in 2-hour hops back in the summer of '75. The hometown newspaper did a full page spread on it.

Just got home Wednesday from a week and a half at the lake. No service up there. Always nice to unplug for a while. Fishing sucked, but other than that, good time.
