I wanted to have access to the high side port to apply a vacuum to the entire system. I'll just bolt the AC compressor back into place and use the low side port for the actual recharge after applying vacuum. Thank you for the info. EDIT: AC successfully recharged, if I need to top off in the future then the low side port should be sufficient. Last edited by menikmati; 06-24-2017 at 04:01 PM. |

Has anyone added a larger coolant tank to the intercooler system? Think it would have enough affect to make it worth the work?

It would not or Edelbrock would have done so. Volume of coolant is adequate for the intercooler. Rate of heat rejection is actually higher if temperature is higher. A larger cooling radiator would be the answer if coolant volume were to be insufficient.

http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showp...postcount=1628 V2 looks to be at least 3 - 4 times larger based on the pics. Maybe someone that gets a V2 tank can confirm its volume. I know that V1 was about 1 ounce. |

That you would have to ask Edelbrock but I wouldn't count on it.
The larger of the two is the new one. V1 is the skinny one that I would suspect most people have. |

Just talked to Edelbrock, there's no replacement reservoir in the works outside of what we already have.

Anybody running a carbon vented hood with their EBSC kit? Specifically the Seibon TS style ones?
I ordered one (ETA 6-10 weeks) and just realized, since it has vents, it drops down a little inside the hood, I know with the stock hood clearance is real tight, so tight that we had to remove the bottom insulation during the install. I'm crossing my fingers this hood fits with the SC or else I'm screwed. |
