Ya, I usually do that same route (either to the confluence or 193 to placerville) on early Sat mornings when I can get away. Would love to join but you guys usually go in the middle of the night. You kids and your touge...

A cautionary tale... on yesterday's drive we came across another BRZ on Mt. Hamilton that uhhh... deviated from course. His car went off the road and into the weeds. If he had been going a little faster he probably would have gone over the edge and into some serious descent down the mountain. People were OK and they were waiting for a tow truck, damage didn't look too serious. Be careful out there guys, these roads are challenging and require your entire focus and care.

That said, it's such a nice day out ... I might have to go for another drive!

After yesterdays epic drive to SoCal and back, my back is wreck'd. Wished the RS was as comfy as the Golf R. Think I'm just gonna sit on my lazy boy and plat dirt4 instead lol.

Well, it's not an 86drive event without an epic u-turn/detour...

Which seats do you have? I think Matt Farah has said his RS' seats took a while to wear in. Like it got to the point where them being uncomfortable was one good reason for him to trade it in/sell but now it's more comfortable.

Still under development since the roads are finally dry enough in Sweden, but slated for release next Spring...so i have time to save up lol I think my last two cars (WRX and BRZ) had Ohlins so I guess I'm set in my ways.

I have the basic cloth Recaros. They are comfortable enough for a couple hours I think, but sitting in it for 12 hrs was no bueno, just wished it had more lumbar support. I had similar problems with the BRZ seat, but at least they were more "reclined" so I didn't feel as much pressure on my lower back. I remember having to roll up a t-shirt to tuck in on my lower back when I drove down with Neal @The Racers Line to go check out the Edelbrock facility. My back was sore, but not as bad as today.

I missed the drive guys. Changed plan. Me and the wife drove to Bodega bay instead taking highway 1. Weather, roads and scenery were beautiful last Saturday and I took the hatch. Was not pushing it yet coz still breaking in but I have the feeling it still fun to drive. After that drive the break in period is done. Will try to join the next drive soon if still ok to join with a mazda3?

So a couple of guys from the bay area have expressed interest in coming over to our neck of the woods for a drive. Any suggestions? Lake Berryessa seems like the logical choice since it mid-way between the bay and the valley, but the real nice roads are further eat by the foot hills.

Berryessa is definitely a good choice. There are some really fun roads up by Ice House but that's a bit of a drive for the Bay Area guys. 3 hours or so.
I say we rent out T-Hill and run that all day. lol
