This is part of the reason why I like the AVO kit. If a cop popped this hood, he'd think it was bone stock apart from the braided oil lines.

OIL LEAK

I have now tried to seal an the oil leak on the oil pump on the back of the cam plate 7 times. Twice with Permatex red RTV high temp gasket maker, twice with Permatex ultra black maximum oil resistance gasket maker, once with a cork gasket and now twice with the oem gasket sealer. I just had a groove put into the plate and put a O ring like the cam plate cover from Raceseng and it's still leaking. It can't be this hard. Any suggestions? AVO is sending me a new plate but i am going on a 5 day road trip to Tail of the Dragon and I'm worried i won't get the plate in time

Try to sand the cam plate from AVO and clean it before applying sealant. When my kit was first installed OEM subaru sealant was used and took almost 4 years before it leaked. Used permatex last week and so far so good even after just one day to allow it to cure. I emailed Raceseng hoping they can make a cam plate specific for us on AVO kits. Hope you can email them requesting the same and maybe improve the chance of it materializing.

Not yet, the turbo has been replaced but the white smoke is still pouring out of the exhaust and it has a bad idle that won't stay running without some gas on a cold start. Moto east thinks it the oil scavenger pump but according to avo they never had one go bad. Working on getting replacement pump right now.

Question about the auto version..

What do you do for oil scavenge on the auto version since there's a vacuum pump where your scavenge pump should go?
