It was good, was a little iffy while driving towards a dark ominous cloud on the way over to the track but we had a relatively dry afternoon. Really like the SCCA track night format: weekday, 1/2 of work, 3-4 sessions, dinner then head home.

It was my first time at T-Hill west so took some time to learn the line. By the last session I was comfortable but still not quite sure what the line is. Only sucky time was during the last session where I got stuck behind a douchey Miata who wouldn't give a point-by. Ended up just giving @finch1750 a point-by and followed him around to look at his line for the last few laps. I was having trouble keeping g up with him too. I think this short technical track really favors lightweight momentum cars. Having lots of low-end grunt helps though 😁.

No video though, wanted to focus on learning. Going to sign up again, so probably have some video then

which suction cup did you get? I can't decide which one to get since there are so many options.

Anyone know if the cops in SJ are cool with not having a front plate? I see tons of cars driving around without one but I've heard stories of people getting pulled over time to time.

Really don't want to put a front plate on my car...

RAM mounts all the way! Super modular and you can piece things together for any application. I've used it for GoPros, phone mounts, tablet mounts, heck even to hold an rear view mirror so I can see my daughter in the back seat lol

Are you able to complain or somehow address this type of inappropriate track etiquette after the session with a track official?

I've been driving around the last few weeks without one and has a couple cops drive facing me without issues so far.

Ya, you usually could, but it was the tail end of the very last session, so it wouldn't have mattered really. It was just annoying since I was jiving very well with this Mustang I was following and we were both going at a very nice "comfortable" pace (so was Jonah behind me I think). Then it all comes to a screeching halt when we come up to this guy.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining because I didn't get a point-by and didn't WIN IN TRACKDAY BRO! This guy just annoyed me with his "mightier than thou" attitude after chatting with him through out the day, bragging about his gutted Miata and how the instructor's lines (who was a woman) was all wrong and "he wouldn't do it that way".

Funny enough, she did cut him off during one session since she was trying to chase another car with a rental Hyundai

I had the GoPro branded mount. Cant give a review beyond it sucks that it doesnt have everything you need in what I consider a fairly common use.

Yeah, it wasnt slow but was a very comfortable pace (i.e. the prius tires barely squeeled if at all in turns).

And yeah, arguing with the instructor cuz your mad you got beat by a girl in rental Hyundai lol. Not saying she was in the right but she would have just ridden his ass otherwise haha.

National Champ autoxers can manage around a track it seems lol

The bolstering and back of the seats are leather, as are the speaker/knee covers and top and middle portions of the doors on my FR-S are leather. I just vacuum the alcantara inserts since I don't have any stains on it.

Speaking of Alcantara does anyone have a recommended cleaner? I haven't needed it for the seat inserts but I'm guessing it will be a good idea for my steering wheel.
